This song and performance is what hooked me on Aurora. Love how Silja Sol and Aurora communicate throughout the performance. I believe that Aurora gets what music is supposed to do for us. The contrast between Idina Menzel's and Aurora's version of Into the Unkown perfectly illustrates this. Idina Menzel's version is technically amazing, powerful and yet listen to Aurora's version and the emotion that she brings makes you stop and really listen to the story being told and believe it.

Aurora is both a forest elf and a pixie. Someone to be cherished and adored, while also protected, her shyness, neurotic tics and petite stature, along with her incredible voice, all calls out to us to please be kind, cherish and protect her privacy. I adore her, I´m an Ork (199cm tall, 140kg, male) who adores her presentation of her talent, I just want to continue cherishing her ability from afar and support her on her quest of life.

Of course, you're absolutely correct that the magic really happens when Aurora is performing live. She is also great in the studio, though. The production of her studio recordings is always top notch, and she has her hand in the entire process. You don't get the same emotional connection, but you do get another side of her fantastic artistry. The other lady here, Silja Sol, spent many years with Aurora before leaving to pursue her own solo career, and she is much beloved by Aurora fans. Their chemistry together was always fantastic, and she is a fantastic artist in her own right. And like Aurora, she's also a very lovely person. Norway looks like it must be as close to musical Heaven as anyone can get, today (just for genre range, quality, and what sounds like a very active scene among the fans). My favourite band from Norway is *Major Parkinson* , who sometimes do something more mellow. OK, it's still dark, being about a ghost who's not so happy about the state of his headstone, and is worried about how the people he's off to go and spook might react (unless I'm getting this all wrong). Anyway, *Adville* - a song from Bergen that might relate to some ghost town where the reef ran out, long ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3Olp4CElMlqaZI It's a piano song most of the way through. Some nice "Chopin twinkles" in it.

A female singer you might find you like is *Alice Phoebe Lou* of the band *strongboi* . Here's *fool around* , which I suppose might be called "yacht rock" - but if it is, it's done exactly right. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJeXepSYoN2cqLM (She grew up here or hereabouts. Went to the sister school to the arts school up the hill from here among all the horses and horse people. Her school was in the mountains, though, AFAIK.) I must go get a link to She as well, just to show her range.
