Dude.... You have to see/hear her LIVE LIVE stuff 😂.... Live in front of a live audiens! 😀 This version of It happened quiet is my favorite, so this was a great choice... But you HAVE to check out the Nidarosdomen concert.... A massive cathedral, harp, strings, organ, choir and her band. The gitar player and fantastic backup vocalist are Silja Sol. She watches Aurora CLOSELY to follow her.... Aurora plays with tempo (and everyting else) to get the right feel and message in the preformance.

I was going to write this as a post, but I saw Runar mention Nidarosdomen. Not only is that particular concert of Aurora's one of my favorites, but, his comment also reminded me to mention this to you Brad, since you are new to Aurora. And that is, it seems every song she has and performs is not only different from its studio version, but, each live performance is also different from one another. So, with Aurora, you can listen to the same song of hers from studio, to each live performance available and pretty much have a different song each time. I usually don't like this with most other music I enjoy, but for some reason with Aurora, I absolutely love it!

@@shawnc666 I agree completely -- she creates some kind of synergy with the audience and the particular venue -- she seems to have this ability to relate -- to people, to nature, to her surroundings -- on a level I've rarely ever seen in most other people. IMO, Aurora is an emotive genius who travels deeply into herself for every song.

Aurora is truly otherworldly, we're blessed to have her join us here. I've been blessed enough to see her twice live and it's such an experience, it's actually hilarious too how she snaps out of the trance when she finishes singing. Best representation I've seen on camera is when she finishes her cover of God is a Woman. Thank you for listening to my favourite song by her. Recommend literally every song, Aurora hasn't ever made a bad song!

This isn't strictly live as it is in a studio. Concerts are the real "live" and that is where Aurora shines. The Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015, Nidarosdomen 2017, HAIK 2019 and her various more intimate gigs from around the world is where you will see her at her beguiling best and track her evolution as a performer and writer.

You should check her out Live in concerts next. Nidarosdomen is my favorite, but HAIK, Honda Stage, KEXP, Bergen Philharmonic etc are all great. VEVOHaloween she had throat damage, but i love her song Under the Water there as it fits the genre she is dabbling in.

I too have only recently discovered Aurora. This is a fantastic performance and the accompanist adds the most beautiful harmonies. I need to add this to my personal playlist, but will it be as enjoyable without the expensive hand and arm movements seen here. There is another great live performance of "Through The Eye Of A Child done acapella with an acapella group backing her that will tear your heart out. I hope you will find the time to find and react to that performance.

This song is kind of a rape and revenge story. The boyfriend goes too far and rapes his girlfriend ("love is wild"). After that he kills her for fear of the consequences. Her soul dies during the rape. Inwardly she falls apart into "a thousand pieces" (the "crying land" is her soul), even though she was as strong as a "stone" before and is "broken into sand". She is in shock. She can only scream inside ("silent call"). When he murders her, she bleeds out to death and she look "like a flower on the medow" in his bed. Then he buries her bloody body outside the window (red ground). After that she came back ("return from the shadows") as his guilty conscience and this (her) voice in his head is louder than his own ("don't you speak over my voice"). She bleed in his bed, turn it red again and again. She will always haunt him.
