Great job on this project. Have to appreciate these aircraft for being touchy with landings and take-off as they didn't have steerable tail wheels. Got back your feel for the controls pretty quick. Good job.

Thank you very much for your kind comment, indeed, it is a very stable model and it helps a lot for poor pilots like me, to see it like that, it looks like I am a skilled pilot but it is due to the excellent stability of the model which, at the base, is a model of free flight.

Thank you for the compliment, I do not know in which region of the world you found yourself exactly, but if, in your region, the health crisis does not prevent you from accessing the gyms (as here now unfortunately) you can contact the services of youth and sports of your municipality which manages access to infrastructure and submit a request to them (that's how we proceeded here). Beautiful. Is this scrap balsa build or was this a kit? If scrap build, is balsa the only thing you used? I'm asking because the gearbox looks like basswood construction.

Thank you, The engine is a JAMARA (but this brand doesn't exist anymore) and it's geared 4:1

My Avro is 16 years old ( was using RC equipment from Micro Invent at that time). I still have a second tiny 35 MHz receiver from that time and plan to realise a small glider for slope soaring (e.g. Grunau Baby, Huetter 17 or Scud). Do you know a current manufacturer of ultra-mini actuators ? Cheers

Hélas le moteur sans brosses que j'ai monté sur mon avion n'est plus disponible sur le marché (c'est un moteur de la marque "Jamara", société qui a fermé il y a 2 ans comme de nombreuses sociétés dans le domaine du modélisme. Bonjour, je suis très heureux que cette vidéo vous plaise. Effectivement la structure est en balsa (de faible densité appelé "balsa plume") par contre l'entoilage n'est pas du papier de soie mais du papier Japon (Esaki très précisément) dont la production a céssé depuis peu hélas, en revanche et heureusement, il existe des papiers de remplacement (vous trouverez facilement des liens dans les groupes facebook dédiés au modèles réduit comme "peanut & pistachio" ou "Stick & tissue" où de nombreux membres se feront un plaisir de vous guider vers de sites de vente). Une vidéo tuto sur l'entoilage éxiste déjà sur la chaîne "Jeul Kroipa" voilà le lien: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKGUZ3eDZ9KiaMk C'est cette technique que j'utilise pour tout mes modèles, cordialement.

​@@kenkingsflyingmachines2382it does'nt matter, I understood the thing. YT becomes mediocre a little more each day :p, I really lost the plane and it's gones very far in the dark wood a little bit farer. If you watch carefully the video you can see that it goes very far, probably more than 1 km :(

@@jeulkroipa6845 Dime scale is a Flying Aces Club-invented category, 16" maximum wingspan, judged just for compliance to plan rather than strict scale fidelity. It allows for simpler builds, more "cartoon"-style models in the nostalgic spirit of 10-cent 1930s Comet kits, and often great flight performance. Some models in the category ARE built from these 1930s plans, while others ("pseudo-dimes") are designed later in the same style. The model has to be of a real plane built before 1949.

One of my favorite types of scale because they come together quickly and are fun to design. I have done a Westland Welkin, Brown B-2 racer, and working on an Antonov An-2. Would love to see you do a dime build if you're interested! Full rules on the Flying Aces Club website but I'll omit the link in case YouTUbe doesn't like it.
