Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart reveals the neuroscience behind the law of attraction, intuition, and extra-sensory perceptions.
In order to create the life of our dreams, we must first understand what limits us from doing so. Tara discusses the origin of our identity and how the formation of it during childhood can either help or hinder our manifestation. Explaining that by harnessing the power of neuroplasticity, we can learn to reinvent ourselves.
She dives into practices for self-transformation, rewiring survival mechanisms, and releasing stress. She also shares her insights from studying Indigenous wisdom, discussing the creative potential of nature, the power of gratitude, and the mystery of consciousness beyond the human brain.

I do have a manifestation story where I learned that I had just to ask the Universe and not worry about how it was gonna manifest. My dog is 13 and going blind so she was having a bad case of separation anxiety every time I’d leave for work. Tried the camera so she would hear me, that didn’t work. Tried leaving relaxing music on, that didn’t work. I consulted with her vet and she suggested some natural relaxing soft chews cause we didn’t want to put her on any type of medication for her to relax.Needless to say that didn’t work either.I was asking the Universe for a sign, maybe I can find a daycare, nothing worked. Then after a month or so of going through this ordeal and seeing my poor dog suffer, and thinking I’m running out of options, one day I found an abandoned young cat, and something told me I could bring him to the house and try and see if my dog would like the company, I had never had a cat in my life nor was I a cat person until that day that I felt this connection to this cat, he was so loving since the first time I approached him and he was licking my hands, so I took him with me and introduced him to my dog and it was like two old friends reuniting again, the energy was so loving and soft it was just too perfect! He has brought so much joy into the house and my dog is much happier and healthier! It would never occurred to me that a cat was the solution, but the Universe knew 🥰🐱🐶🥰

Tara is a gift to this world. When my dad passed, he was hooked up to machines to keep him alive, along with a brain monitor to see if there was any activity, there was none. However, when my children called him to say goodbye, he mumbled "I love you" to them and shed a tear. So yes, consciousness outside the physical is absolutely possible.

One morning at the spa where I worked as a massage therapist, I gave a treatment to a woman I had never met before. I started massaging her neck and face and noticed at the other end of the table what looked like heatwaves coming up from her feet. And as the waves kept rising up, a presence made himself known to me. I couldn’t see facial features or colors, I just knew it was a man. He told me to tell this women that he knew that she loved him with all of her heart and that she did everything in her power and that it was enough and she had given him her best and not to be hard on herself, it was more than enough, please don’t worry, and that he loved her so very much. This had never happened to me before and was scared to say anything to her because I thought I might freak her out. I was freaked out. I was afraid that if I spoke those words to her that I would be fired for upsetting a client. And, that is what I said to her when I was able to get the words out. And then I gave her his message. He was still in the room with us when I told her everything that he urgently asked me to tell her. She then told me she had been grieving the loss of her elderly father, whom she had been caring for in her home. On the day he died she was worried about leaving him to go to work or stay home with him because he seemed unwell. She fought with herself about it but decided to go to work. While she was at work, he passed away and she felt deep guilt for having left him instead of staying home with him. I was floored. But validated in that exchange, in going out on that limb with them. When I was engaged to my (pediatric orthopedic surgeon) husband and started meeting people in the medical community, I saw how afraid they could become in the face of topics not based in science. I felt right away that I had to be careful with whom I shared my curiosity and interest in a broader take on spirituality. It’s understandable that the ground can feel shakey for people in the scientific community. Given the supportive platform such as this “Know Thyself” creates and supports a listening for Tara as a (courageous) sacred ground breaker. Grateful for you both!

I lived in a house that seemed like a portal. More and more things began to happen that I just knew. I could see faces, colors and words. I told a woman that a child was around her and that she's upset that her sister blames herself. Like, I just felt crazy. But, she validated me and acknowledged that it was her daughter and the topic was an issue. So many times. It's just a knowing I can't explain. I've moved from that house and it rarely happens now. Which is nice because it's kind of frightening, but more frightening how you'll be seen by others but you feel so compelled to speak, like it won't leave you alone unless you do.

My first time hearing such amazing information. This is really big for me in so many ways. 12 years ago today my mother walked in the spiritual realm leaving our physical world. An hour before she took her last breath. I sat next to her and meditated. I was able to connect with mom in my spiritual form. I walked up the gats of heaven were she looked healed and in a younger form then what she physically looked like in front of me. I head her voice in my mind and saw her through my 3rd eye. It was just the beginning of my spiritual awakening and beautiful journey up to this very moment ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I can relate. I had a shared death experience with my own father- and years later discovered a podcast Between R.Raymond Moody and Dr. Eben Alexander and they spoke fairly casually of it- not just in family but in hospice nurses as well….it’s definitely out there. They call it SDE. It certainly changed me- I lived with people thinking I was ‘hysterical’ or something, but for me I had objective evidence that assured me of its reality….😊From one to another….

This spring I will be a guest lecturer in Oceania Cruise lines, to speak about this topic. Everything she has touched on in this interview, will be included. I’m brave and have had the courage to open my throat chakra. I too am excited and curious with the feedback I have gotten so far. She has inspired me to share my truth as she has. One is no good without the other. Some people's psychological issues are from spirit and they have no idea. Some crazy people aren't crazy at all. They're possessed. Yeshua told us to follow him and cast out demons, but few believe and even less try. He never said one thing about asking the pope for permission nor authority. He said if we believe him, we have the authority to use his holy name to cast off evil,to heal, and to manifest.

Tip: do askfirmations and do them aloud. Why am I so happy now that I am in wonderful relationship? Why am I so happy now that I am financially free? That way you overcome the critical divide and go directly to re-programming the subconscious mind! Start small do up to three twice a day. You are most susceptible when you first wake up and before you go to bed. This is the time your conscious brain is less active and subconscious is in full force.

The statement of goal setting the gap between where you are vs want to be is unhappiness... reinforces the writing out and visualizing goals and the logical steps to get there. That's huge. Cuz I've always been one of those yeah right i don't need to write out my goals i know what they are... but realizing the gap is what creates unhappiness vs staying on a goal step you are on the journey of you really think about it or write it out. Thank you. Now i wanna write out my goals and the steps and embrace actually writing them out now lol

I enjoyed your wisdom talk with Dr. Tara Swart. I hope in these coming years more and more people in healthcare, sciences industries etc will grow to actively embrace the link between medicine, mental health and psychology, the sciences with spirituality and holistic wellness as in the case Dr Swart (and also Dr Bruce Lipton, Dr Joe Dispenza, Dr Brian Weiss etc)

This just woke me up to how much I have manifested in the last 6 months people and situations thst bring me closer towards a new career I hadn’t even anticipated a year ago and I was slightly overwhelmed with a feeling of gratitude and wonder at what has happened because I actually have believed thst I can make this happen.

I have to give props to the interviewer Andre. I have not heard of this podcast before and it came into my feed. I keep it simple for my clients- brain is a processing center based on anything you have consumed or experienced. New ideas, fresh ideas, new directions to take come from our higher mind aka intuition. What happens is our egos jump in and often derail us based on fear, other peoples opinion judgment. I listened for 15 min but wanted to say thank you and give props! 🙏

Good for you. Most who have your troubles are heart broken lonely, and angry (rightfully so) and dive into drugs rather than fight for what's left of life. Once you overcome the desires of the flesh, what's left is the good part. People don't understand that. They don't even want to hear that. They just want to fulfill their desires which is what got most of them where they are..

WOW this just clarified something for me...at 51:00 talking about beauty and creativity. Ever since I visited Sedona, Az for the very first time, I felt in my Soul I needed to live there, or like something told me "you belong here, this is your home." And when I'm there, I feel so inspired, creative and like I'm literally in my highest mind/spirit and energy. My goal is to be able to relocate there this year to help me on my journey as a coach and creator, and bring others there to heal and tap into their inner power as well

It's interesting how when you listen to something so profound, natural knowledge, or innate knowledge is triggered in your mind. Which proves that we have all the knowledge within us. How spectacular it is when The Source brings those thoughts into your Universe, at the gradient that is necessary to go to that next step to take you, through your life as a human. Also that manifesting is just a thought that you are thinking, that small still voice, that will come true! And practice listening to that voice and turn it up so you can hear it more clearly. And if you can cultivate and see those thoughts as things they will come into being. And noticing the things that you are thinking is the key to it all!

I found the information about wisdom being pushed into both the spinal cord and gut very interesting. Like Dr Swart said, intuition can be described as a gut feeling, but the revelation about wisdom being pushed down into the spinal cord instantly made me think of a kundlini awakening- energy travelling up the spine once awakened and tapped into. Fascinating episode!

First listen! Love this! She has such a beautiful accent! On Nature, I prioritize it. It looms very large in my life every day almost every vacation is based on the outdoors. Most everyone can see at minimum birds and squirrels daily and be reminded of the great universe. My mother started me on it young, pointing out the robins and cardinals in our yard❤ I go for walks, bike rides nearly every day and observing what’s out there never gets old even the same pathways. I have favorite trees i say hello to, repeat animals I see and greet. Touch beautiful tree trunks and hug them. Trees feel! Thank you!

Thank you so much Dr. Swart for being brave enough to say things that many scientists wouldn't. It's so important! My degrees are in biology, ecology and behavior and I worked at university for a few years during grad school so I understand the pressures. But I'm also way into the "woowoo" stuff the older I get (I'm 55 now) and the more personal experiences I've had. I had an out-of-body experience when I was 19 which only made me even more interested in these topics but I was afraid to pursue it too much and always kept things in check back then, during college especially. But I absolutely believe consciousness is outside the body. In fact, when I was 3 or 4 years old, I remembering wondering why I was in this body vs another body. I took it as obvious that I was not my body but instead was consciousness inhabiting my body. Fortunately I had parents with loving and open minds so they never made me shut down those parts of myself. Anyway, on a different note, I think Tara might be an INTJ! Explains why she is brave enough to speak about these things and also why she identifies as an intuitive with logic and needs to work on her emotion and sensory. That's the story of my life Tara. I hear you! I'm 55, INTJ and working on those things as well. I watch a LOT of these types of interviews, not just on your channel but many others as well, regularly, and this is one of the MOST FASCINATING interviews I've seen. The information that Dr. Swart shares is absolutely wonderful and exciting and encouraging! After hearing the part where she talked about how our subconscious beliefs determine if we feel worthy or not to manifest our desires hit home with me and a memory popped up in association with something I've always struggled with and it hit me hard. I got emotional and yet it seemed so obvious once I connected the dots. I don't know that I'd have made that connection if it weren't for hearing Tara say that. I was also fascinated by the realization that the brain is doing actual physical work that makes you tired when you're building new pathways. I have experienced this and this is so intuitively accurate to me. Also, my mother always told me as a kid that mental work affects you physically as well. I'm in the middle working on a passion project that I've been working on for several years and I can FEEL it about to pop! It's getting so close. I've been feeling so much anticipation lately because it feels so close. So it was gratifying to hear her words supporting that. I'm super grateful to her for that and for her work. I also adore Carl Jung and am extremely into the MBTI and have read some of his works. So, I've just been loving this entire conversation. Thank you again!
