The reason your business is gonna continue to grow is your one of the most humble/ successful re media KZbinrs. Nothing about this video came off as a flex but more of a peek behind the curtain of how you and your team accomplished this goal. I wish you all the success in 2024! As for video ideas… can you please do a video on how you plan out and expose a shot interior /exterior for C log 3? I can hardly find any videos on KZbin that explain how to expose C Log 3 for real estate. There’s tons that show you how to expose for people but not necessarily for rooms, windows, etc. thanks! 🎉

This is great stuff! I am a real estate agent who does their own work as I am also a photographer/videographer. My collogues saw my work and wanted to hire me. Now I am in full time RE sales and full time photographer/videographer, it was tough to outsource as I am also the type who has to have total control of all aspects. I now do my own listings (TC) my own photos/video edits but I outsource everything else and may hire an assistant photographer that I can teach my style. Working 70-80 hours a week for the last three years has really burned me out.

Hey John, thanks for sharing! I can imagine, sometimes during the busy season I'd get to hours like that and it's too much. What are other things you outsource? Thanks for watching!
@John-Shutterlyphotos Жыл бұрын
@@AndreiRestrepo Now outsourcing video editing to a friend, I am not great at it and to to do a great job it takes me too much time. For photo editing outsourcing, using a friend since he can use my Luminar Neo and the presets I made that I prefer for a certain look. Photography is reaching near my RE sales business, it's crazy.

Thanks for this video and the other insights to your biz. You touched on a subscription/retainer model, how has that worked out? Have there been other things you’ve thought about rolling into a package for realtors or teams? I’ve been thinking about stabilizing the ups and downs
@AndreiRestrepoАй бұрын
It’s been great! I’ve only had around 2-4 consistently be apart of it but some of those packages range from $1K-4K so it’s been great reoccurring income on a monthly basis. But basically the packages are based on how many shoot days or time we commit to them on a monthly basis that basis, amount of photo & video deliverables, and anything else they need. Thanks for watching!

Great tips! Curious as to what your charge/offer for your monthly recurring video services?
@AndreiRestrepo10 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! For sure. We start at $1000/month for a certain amount of lifestyle photos + short form video content and 1 shoot day. Then double that for double the amount of work and two shoots days, and so on. Currently have a couple on the middle tier and one on the entry level tier! Thanks for watching

I mainly do weddings at this time. What's your suggestion to have as seamless as a move as possible and still make money?
@AndreiRestrepo11 ай бұрын
I honestly went down a similar path! I was doing weddings and got pretty burnt out doing them and just started by connecting with friends/family that were realtors, or knew a realtor that could give me a chance and go from there. Learn as much as you can before you start too! Thanks for watching

And re-reading your comment again, not sure if you mean to move from a full time job, to doing weddings, or to move from weddings to shooting RE

@@AndreiRestrepo actually both... I work FT and Shoot weddings probably 30 weekends a year. I'm burnt. LOL I've shot a few real estate sessions but I'd definitely like to increase and make that move. Thanks for responding

What do you do for medical insurance?

Stripe charges 2.9%+30 cents per charge, WOW! That's almost $30 for a $1,000 gig just to process the payment. Seems absurd. If you process $100,000 for the year, that's roughly $3,000 you payed just to process the payments.
@AndreiRestrepo5 ай бұрын
Yeah true! What's the alternative though? For the amount of clients we work with, I'm not going to have them pay cash or a check, just wouldn't be doable in the long run. IMO, that fee covers the ease of using something like stripe, the analytics, and everything else it offers, and it's a tax write off!
@EliteAtlantaHomes5 ай бұрын
@@AndreiRestrepo Fair enough. Just seems steep to take 3% of your earnings pre tax. 1-2% would be more reasonable.
