A lot of familiar layouts in this game! Cincinnati is based on Interlagos. Phalanx is based on Silverstone Longhorn vaguely resembles Mexico City's Hermanos Rodrigues Switchback hills resembles the Rio oval Grand Rapids is based on Circuit de Catalunya Meisaka resembles Okayama raceway Toronto, Vancouver, and Surfer's Paradise are all real circuits, with Vancouver being the old Indycar layout prior to 1997.

Cameron Walker kings beach is based on the estroil circuit in Portugal

Especially since in the early days of the split, Mike would call IRL races on TNN. It's rare, but I believe that the 98 IRL race at Charlotte had Mike Joy doing lap-by-lap commentary.

I used to love this game just for the presentation. It was more like taking part in something real, not just a video game. I'd love to see something like this on current gen hardware instead of the 3D versions of people

I never would've thought that I'd see James Brown in an EA Sports game. Even with their partnerships with NHL and NFL on Fox in the 90s and NFL on CBS in the mid 2010s, James never showed. This is a great, if weird, artifact.
