+Kevin Allen i still don't know if i never wanna see this again cuz it'll never be as good as the first or if i wanna watch it every day til i die

+Kevin Allen I find myself moving between both. I'll leave it alone for a while then obsess over it again for a while. With headphones on man it's pure eargasm. The strings at the end are one of the only things I've heard that can bring me to tears pretty much every time.

One man orchestra. Unbelievable.

what i get a kick outta him the most is that he always changes the tempo and the flow of his songs when he does a live performance. it's tough to make a song seem like something totally different, but still make it sound like nothing's changed. well done andrew.

Will see Andrew Bird live in 1 week in great venue. Third time. Once saw him solo in a very small venue, but he only played for 35 minutes. He and 2 other musicians/bands were stepping in for a cancelled show. The sad thing was he played for shortest time and was, far far and away, much better than the 2 groups that followed him. He's put on a fantastic live show each time. Love introducing people to his music. Just keep spreading the word.

This isn't your song This isn't your music How can they be wrong When by committee they choose it all? They choose it all You're gonna grow old You're gonna grow cold Bearing signs on the avenue For your own personal Waterloo You're bearing signs on the avenue For your own personal Waterloo now We'll fight, we'll fight We'll fight for your music halls and dying cities They'll fight, they'll fight They'll fight for your neural walls and plasticities And precious territory This isn't our song This isn't even a musical I think life is too long To be a whale in a cubicle Nails under your cuticle Gonna grow old You're gonna grow so cold Before this song can deliver you You're bearing signs on the avenue You're bearing signs For your own personal Waterloo now We'll fight, we'll fight We'll fight for your music halls and dying cities They'll fight, they'll fight They'll fight for your neural walls and plasticities And precious territory

So I was flicking through the channels late one night, and accidentally stumbled across this performance. I lay on the couch, under a blanket, and just watched in awe as he picked up that violin and played the most beautiful piece of music ever to come out of my television set. This, my friends, is what it sounds like to put love into your music.

@BirdTheJunior i heard him on world cafe today and he said as a child he was a classical musci geek, lol but got into high school and moved into other areas. David Dye asked what he liked of pop he said the White Album and some Dylan stuff. Glad his mom or whoever encouraged such a talent...

There's a couple different ways. A boss octave pedal. I use an electroharmonix pog pedal which adds a sub octave and 2 octaves d-tuned higher. Just look around for different pedals. There are many.
