Shared this with my Dad a few years ago. We were one tick on the viewer count. We enjoyed it. Now he's gone, but our time together watching this and smiling is still recorded in some minuscule fashion.

Andrew Bird isn't just a singer, just a musician, just a kick-arse whistler... He's a dancer. A beautiful dancer that uses his erratic motion to keep time and his every step to create loops and chains of notes to infinity. He dances with his fingertips across the instruments, or with his lips to sketch out the quiver of his whistle. He knows how to dance with his own mind, and how to take yours along with.

if there was an Olympics for music back in the day when the Olympics started, old man Bird would be a serious contender for an olive wreath! this is so beautiful!

I'm just incredibly jealous at those three people sitting at the corner and listening to his sublime musicscape! How can they keep that oh-so-quiet manner without showing muchc emotion?

I've loved Andrew Bird for years, but I've never seen him perform. His music is beautiful. And it doesn't hurt that he's not too shabby looking himself.

Watched this with you a few years ago, Dad. Seeing it again brings me back to that. Miss you.

at age 24 i've started to become detached with a lot of the music i grew up with. i only started listening to this guy's work in the last year or so, but Andrew Bird saved my faith in music.

God who? Maybe folk is just an incredible genre. We don't need to attribute or associate everything with mythology, now.

THIS is why I love live music! It is too easy to take for granted what we hear when a recording slips through our ears as only so much background noise. But to SEE and EXPERIENCE the workings of a creative mind and the process by which that sound is made is what really lets us separate the fluff from the good stuff. Top shelf work here. Kudos, Mr. Bird, and thank you.

Andrew Bird has to be the epitome of the word "Troubadour". There have been several over the years, but I believe Andrew is at the pinnacle. I've never heard finer than this song.

I'm sitting here, almost crying at the sheer beauty of this song, when I see that KZbin has suggested "Party In the USA" as another video to watch. And all I can do is laugh, because if Miley Cyrus were a minute, Andrew Bird would be an eternity.
