As an actor this was soo inspiring. I needed this from someone who’s done great work and yet also feels and felt how I be feeling .

I'm 16 years old and I absolutely love acting. This was such an inspiration to me. I am one to just scroll Backstage and look at casting calls and think "it would be cool if I did that," but I never go after it. Definitely that sea monster keeping me down 😂😂. Thanks so much Backstage and Andrew for doing this. Truly an inspiration!!!

Thank you Backstage for hosting this interview with Andrew Garfield. I was totally immersed in Andrew's insight and personal gifts of knowledge regarding acting and his process. A real true and honest representation of his vulnerable self regarding the process.

I signed up for the webinar but unfortunately the capacity was already full when I tried to join. Not surprising since Andrew is incredible. I’m so glad i got to catch it on here. So many words of wisdom for us aspiring actors. It’s crazy that even in his success and even though he has done incredible work, he still feels a sense of imposter syndrome and worries he’s not good enough. Makes me feel like maybe that’s just normal and while that might not go away, it doesn’t mean you’re not good enough or you don’t have anything to offer. Thank you for this! Looking forward to the day I get to work with you Andrew!

brilliantly performed by Garfield. he's a magical beast. he should win the Oscars for best actor. and any other awards 🙌 plus, how he still looks 23 when he's actually almost 40 is an enigma to me.

God, I just love this man to death. Supermodel girlfriends aside, if I could matchmake him with anyone else in the industry it would be Brit Marling. She's an incandescent visionary who's on his level in terms of depth, compassion and intellect. Their conversations alone could be a film like My Dinner with Andre or Mindwalk.

Ah man, that moment in the middle of the Therapy sequence that Andrew is talking about at 19:27 is EVERYTHING! I can't believe the other writers cringed! That was the reason for the breakup, that was the difference between the characters, that was the moment that showed how important art was was Jonathan Larson, that it was ingrained in every moment of his life.... honestly, do the cringe thing, don't be afraid of what other people think, because if you start to censor yourself, you are going to dim your light. Be weird!!!!
