@Moiraine_damodred I mean, i don't disagree with you, but i don't agree with you either. Doubt is a good thing because it causes people to truly dig down into their beliefs and figure out what their beliefs are and why they truly do believe it. It's great that Garfield views himself in this manner, but He is not talking about Christianity. He believes in the teachings of Jesus but not Who Jesus was. Christianity is a Theistic religion. Garfield is a Pantheist. 2 different things. It's great to question things, but if something has been questioned enough, one needs to hold to something otherwise, you'll fall for anything
@fragwagon7 жыл бұрын

I think everyone should have some amount of the right kind, philosophical, life knowledge, that would help us all, in living better lives, moraly.. We can't know everything, but there are things we should know, from young age, that would help us, to live our lives better or at least, give us an opportunity of doing that. Simple moral logical truths about life and our societies. Simple things like - i don't know - racism, for example. It's a product of misguidance and ignorance; a cultural "assumption" that grown trough time and still exists, cause no one really thinks about it logically. Ignorance is the problem, here. Racism for example, is simply illogical, stupid and it's mainly a synonym of blind hate/fear. There is many of this kind of stuff, that we should go trough life, simply knowing.

Great conversation. Andrew is so deep, I should have noticed this virtue of him sooner. I think the reason why many people often say that Stephen is a terrible interviewer is because, I notice it many times, he tries to trigger conversations like this one with other people, but the interviewees either just do not get it, not interested, or too shy in direct communication as to disable them to converse deeply in a talk show (by this, I mean that not everyone is a good speaker, many people find it hard to find the right words when speaking and thus are better at writing).

One of the best late night interviews I've seen in my life. I don't remember seeing such a deep topic on late night discussed with such eloquence. Hats off to Colbert and Andrew Garfield for this gem.

I love how Stephen asks Andrew about what he would do if he was “visited by an Angel” and now HE’S NOMINATED FOR A TONY AS PRIOR WALTER IN ANGELS IN AMERICA

After Silence I have a whole new respect for Andrew Garfield. He was acting like he had something to prove and I loved it.

Yes, Andrew is amazing!!! His next movie will be Breathe. Based on the true story of Robin (Garfield), a handsome, brilliant and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when polio leaves him paralyzed. You can see Andrew Garfield in 99 homes, Never let me go, Boy A, The social Network, The red riding, Hacksaw Ridge, Silence etc.

He is such an intelligent actor. I like the way he talks about the jesuits and their teachings. Yes, that is the point what he said: to see God in everyone and everything.
