Love Never Dies shouldn't be a direct sequel of the original Phantom. I liked the ending of Phantom, but the music in Love Never Dies is SO GOOD that I can't truly dislike it.

what are all you people talking about destroying the original. No one is forcing you to watch or hear the sequel. Yes, the oppurtunity is there for the people who do want to watch a continuation of the story; but if you don't like it, leave it. I've bought the LND album and i have to say, that its better than the phantom. (Yes People Are Gonna Dislike What I Am Saying Here) but, i do like the music better, And the idea of my favorite charaters playing a new musical is amazing, This is special.

look heres the deal if you walk into this thinking OMG ITS PHANTOM OF THE OPERA 2!!!, you aren't going to like it. Yes it's very different, that's the point! It isn't going to be the exact same story, he's told that already. If you look at it with an open mind and understanding and if you truly love the story, you'll love this too. but hey i've only been a fan since I was 8 so what do i know right? :)

people need to grow up why would he do this for the money when he's already raking it in, ALW is not that greedy plus, it's his work that he's doing the sequel for so it's going to be of the same quality and it's going to have consistency AND its his work so he can do whaever he wants to it i think people just want someone to attack and have decided to make all these irrational accusations against someone who just loves music and loves writing it and wants to give more to the world

I love the LND track. It has a more... Recent feeling to it with the new instruments that you hear. I like it :)

@RastloseJahre Excuse me, but its only the opening with Madam Giry that's set in 1907! The rest is a flashback (just like the 2004 movie) to 1892, 10 years after phantom!

hahaha the plot is pretty straightforward and predictable if you ask me. And 'roughly' ten years is a bit of an understatement when its been like 26...
