Well it's about time ALO and DOMINIC PRIORE are back on YT. Mr Priore- I have 2 of your BBs / BW books and had you on video cassette interviewing Bruce Johnston and Brian Wilson. ALO- I have all your books and attempted a discography of your work!! Good memory - THE POETS Baby Don't You Do It was on Immediate IM 024 Feb 3 1965. According to Immediate Answers fanzine THE MCCOYS Hang on Sloopy was first LP released Dec 1965. Funnily enough " Hang on Sloopy" was also the first single! SMALL FACES self titled LP was released in 1967.

ALO had 2 careers going- he would manage or be a publicist for a bunch of other bands even ( prior and) during the Rolling Stones .

Fascinating guy and rock fans owe alot to him because of all the cool things he's responsible for, but something about him was always so shady to me. Always struck me as untrustworthy. But, I never heard horror stories about him like, say, Don Arden or Morris Levy, so what do I know.

He's responsible for the Stones writing their own songs. And their early efforts were surprisingly good, regardless of Keith's trashing them. Walking Through The Sleepy City, and Each And Everyday Of The Year etc.

@@vernpascal1531 They all recognized together they needed to write their own songs. Mick and Keith weren't stupid. Pete Townshend at the same time came to the realization that because of the Beatles, every band had to write their own songs for financial reasons. The Stones knew they couldn't continue covering blues and R&B songs. I wasn't there but I think Andrew gets a little too much credit for that.

@@tomcarl8021 True. Fortunately like The Who they were great writers and from early on ... wrote a lot of classics. They would have had a very good solid career as R&B Masters, but they would never have been International larger than life legends.

@@MikeDiCiero Well, it's hard to feel sorry for two guys with a combined wealth of a billion dollars getting screwed out royalties for some jam session recording. But, you make a good point because Im almost certain he didn't pay the artists he signed to Immediate Records.
