Mwenda, I didn’t know u speak so much sense. I think people in some quarters are trying to demonise u but am enjoying yo speeches . Come across as fair and balanced. Keep it up educating Africans plz. Thank you

Cogently expressed! What Mr. Mwenda is saying is not new, but I've never heard it expressed this well. I still believe there are intelligent ways of doing development work that don't involve direct transfer payments from governments in the West to those in the developing world. Fostering Civil Society in these countries is also a necessary step in creating a sustainable future.

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for life. The world is slowing begining to see very bright minds in Africa. TED is doing a greate job in this effort =)

TED started out in Monterey, California, but expanded to at least a couple of other cities in the U.S. & also expanded to TED Global. I am almost certain this speech/talk took place in Tanzania at a 'TED Global' event - not in California.
