I think people also forget that yes, sins are wipe when you become Muslim. But from a a fiqh perspective, sins (dhunub) are not the same as crimes (hudood)- which are warranted a state sanctioned and appropriate punishment for the crime. Andrew Tate is a sex offender and trafficker that has avoided trial in the multiple crimes. So even if his shahdah is sincere, he still has to face criminal charges and should be put on trial and face the charges.

I think it's unfair to call any new Muslim fake, which I've seen. it's really hard to become Muslim because it unravels so much of how you view the world and yourself, so I doubt he made the decision lightly and it may take time for his lifestyle to adjust. So many people making dua for him in his videos and he seems to be someone who was interested in learning and understanding Islam. I want Islam for all people, just as I want it for my own self, Allah guides who he wills.

@@straw1berry11if you really want to talk about it, ppl like Andrew Tate and other people in the red pill are just a reaction to modern day feminism. Both ideologies have very extreme views, one sides basically tells women that they don’t need to respect a man at all, and the other tells men that you don’t need to respect women. Neither of these things fit in with Islam, not at all. Islam obligates men to be the primary provider for their women, to have them at all times, make them feel like a Queen. And a women should let her man be the leader and be a source of peace for everyone around her. And whenever ppl think of authority all they think about is the power it brings, but never the burden that comes with it. In the Quran it warns men that the authority will cause them to be scrutinized even harder on the day of judgement.

As a woman myself who has been subject to misogyny countless times, and as someone who was a bit iffy about Tate, I will say this. In terms of my own observations, I can see that Tate in Mohammed Hijab's new video looks more calmer and mature, and for the most part, didn't spew any non-sense which is a good sign as he's a Muslim now. But I don't think we need to be discussing our own views about him entering Islam. Islam is for everyone and Islam came to change people, so we don't get to decide who deserves to be Muslim and who doesn't. As we can see some people dont fulfil the required outer appearance but they may have strong inner faith, and vice versa with others. Us muslims should know more than anyone that no one in this religion is role model worthy, especially in this generation, and that includes Tate. The only role model we need (esp men) is our prophet (saw). There are hadiths where the prophet has many times emphasized that the sins are wiped clean upon taking the shahadah. So he's better off than all of us as of now, believe it or not. We have no idea, perhaps he's super embarrassed and guilty for some of the things he said on some shows, and he's perhaps begging for repentance in private right now. Always assume what's best people! The internet is a place where so much controversial discussion takes place, and I wish that us Muslims stopped engaging in the one's regarding specific people by name- MUSLIMS- because it's part of our akhlaaq to leave what does not concern us. Certainly some controversy that's not person-specific but educational is really useful, but not in this scenario where a revert is involved. Overall, my opinion does not matter at all. If Allah the most merciful was able to forgive him, then I abide by that and respect him "with open arms". I am just a servant and I don't know as much as God himself. The only place I will show up at is if he needs help and support or any guidance in his Islamic Journey. Let's not turn him away and if he wants to learn and change, then Islam is the correct religion for him to do so. Muslims are people who sin but repent over and over. Just pray for his guidance, and pray for yours and everyone else's too.

We cannot gatekeep and judge who’s conversion is sincere or out of convenience. But what we can do is provide genuine encouragement to him, as well as well-reasoned criticism or correction when it’s called for. As long as he doesn’t knowingly exhibit or call others to manifest overt and deliberate _kufri_ statements, actions, or doctrines, then he’s a Muslim whether we like it or not, even if he is a grave sinner. I agree with not being judgmental about this whole thing. His reasons for converting is between him and Allah. However, it is a bit weird that he specifically is making it seem like Islam is ''misogynistic'' by citing versus from the Quran about women. Its almost like he converted becuz Islam is ''misogynistic' in his eyes. Does anyone else see that vibe? Like whenever he talks about Islam , its ''oh women listen to the men, they populate most of hell,'' etc. Idk just a weird feeling inside. Makes me feel like I need to explain Islamic rulings again and explain to people who are not Muslims that Islam is NOT misogynistic like he is making it seem. Like we just got over that and tbh still are with people thinking Hijab is forced etc, when it clearly is not. And its even more frustrating that Muslim men love him for saying that kinda stuff. Just a eerie vibe... Inshallah Khair, Allah knows best and maybe Islam will slowly change his mindset.

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he's in a lot of places like Dubai and Saudi Arabia, where Wahabism and Salafi-Wahabism goes unchecked as an ideology. It's sad because they co-op the idea of the Salaf, without actually embodying the ideals of the real Salaf. It'd be nice to see him go to other Muslim countries and see if his perception changes. Allah is the most forgiving. I'm not. I don't forgive Andrew Tate for the stuff he said about women in his content. The only thing I could do now is that I pray that he changes his way when he talks about women (cuz we all know that Islam doesn't support any kind of opinion Andrew Tate had on women in his previous content). What needs to be said about Iran...? Let's break it down: - Iran is ran by a Rafidha Twelver Shi'a regime. They are not Muslims. I can provide explicit examples of this (and-no- I am not making a blanket takfir on ALL Shi'a. I am doing it on ALL Twelvers). - Iran enforced the "hijab law"- alhamdulilah. This is good because this is mandated in shari'a (the ruler enforcing shari'a in the land) - They chose from their own desires on HOW to enforce the law using non-shari'a compliant methods. Doesn't surprise me. - Sisters are protesting the method being used by burning the hijab- and act of kufr (minor or major I haven't been able to figure this out yet) because they are burning a symbol of Allah (it would be no different than burning the Qur'an). So they are reacting in ignorance and being disobedient to Allah to show their dislike for the Irani regime. That pretty much sums it up- hijab enforcement is good and is obligatory upon the ruler to enforce. The violent tactics used are contrary to Islam and the sisters' protests are an act of kufr. Why would you want this sisters' opinion on this topic when she obviously doesn't have in-debth knowledge and is speaking from her own thoughts on an issue like Brother Tate, making many errors and even stating something that is bother kufr al- akbar and shirk al-akbar with regards to voting...? If you want a humans opinion ask this sister. If you want an Islamic opinion ask a student of knowledge versed in the issue with Iran or a well-versed sheikh or mufti. -Female convert studying to become a sheikha InshaAllah

Think about how much attention he's getting from joining Islam. I saw his podcast with Hijab... Tate was trying to hit all the right notes, hit some, but it seemed empty and shallow. And I even like Tate! I like some parts of his message for men and people (protect your woman, work anyway even if you don't feel like it, etc), but this was a move for attention and power (and money). And I think maybe he went a little over his head with this one (and doesn't know it yet)

I don't care if he converts or not, it's for his benefit not anyone else's. My issue is that all these muslim men that are soooo quick to embrace him now never once spoke up about his very problematic comments about women and AT himself never once addressed his past post conversion. Becoming muslim doesn't automatically make you a good person. We all know muslim people that are absolutely horrible! The fact that we should all bend over backwards to accept this man just because he's supposedly muslim now when he still holds the same disgusting beliefs about women that got him de-platformed from all social media platforms is weird. He converted? ok, fantastic for him! but seeing all this muslim men support him so vehemently tells me that they're not offended enough about what he said in the past or like you said are taking it very lightly. Many even agreed with his comments so of course when he converted he was the perfect public figure for them to support who will amplify and give and credit to the opinions they themselves also hold.

If people go back years and years and watch his interviews from before he was always looking for God. If you truly believe that Allah is the Almighty then you would know that only he knows Andrew Tate's sincerity and we as believers were told that when someone says shahadah and says they are Muslim then we must believe them and we are not allowed to say no they are not for we can not see what is within their hearts but Allah can. Any Muslim who dictates who is a "real Muslim" and who is "not" has challenged a quality that only belongs to God. They are challenging God by saying I know more than you and I know that "so and so" is not a Muslim. That is a huge sin and disgusting as well as scary position to stand on. We as believers know that nothing and no one can harm Allah swt so if in the extreme small chance Tate wasn't sincere in converting then Allah will take care of him in this world and the next. But we are not capable of looking into one's heart and as a believer we have been taught good and to accept anyone who says they are Muslim as part of the ummah. Tate is not a misogynist either, alot of what he has said that sounded bad was actually taken from hour long interviews and talks where the context around what he was saying shows he wasn't being a misogynist, he just used the wrong wording and people took 15-30 secs out of hours of footage, chopped it up and made him look evil. If you start seeing his interviews especially the ones he had with muslim youtubers recently you will see that alot of what he says is true and not bad. He just converted it takes people years and years to learn and change. We are humans not robots

Honestly the reality we should accept is that Tate is Muslim, he is our brother in Islam. Regardless of how we feel. WE SHOULD BE HAPPY. Many sahabas lived horrible lives prior to Islam. The interesting part of all this is that, if someone who was an ultra liberal (which opposes Islam more than anything Tate has said because it preaches following your desires, opposite of Islam.) Most people would probably rejoice. The fact that our Prophet (peace be upon him) told us that someone converting is better than what is in this world, and many Muslims who have become unfortunately liberal/feminism influenced are not showing any appreciation to Allah or are straight ANGRY/DISAPPOINTED is beyond me. I'm a woman and have actually taken the time to watch what Andrew Tate has said with full context, and only a minority of what he has said was incorrect. What he used to say was MUCH better than what a lot of modernists preach. Of course it wasn't all good, and I disagreed with some things but I also disagree with just about all of feminism. The thing people REALLY are not thinking about here is about how many people might convert to Islam who are followers of Tate, whether I agree with them or not, it would be great to see a bunch of people end up submitting completely to Islam, and will leave whatever was mistaken in their beliefs. how could this not be significant to any Muslim? Its sad to see so many people not putting their personal biases aside which are influenced by liberalism and just submit and be happy with the qadr of Allah, which was that andrew tate has become a muslim.

I'll definitely say that while I've been disappointed at the lack of push back some of our male Muslims channels have been doing when it comes to some active criticism of Tate's points before he was Muslim, I'm really happy that he's converted and the community should welcome him with open arms. I find Tate's so much better in his long form content, rather than shorts, and speaks a lot of truths that Muslims swept over by liberalism choose to ignore. He's right when he says that Islam, in its truth and postering, is the only true religion to go against the fitna of leftist, anti-God ideologies. But there's so much for him to learn from Islam including humility, our history, the seerah, the companions, and treatment of women. He only knows a drop in such an immense ocean. I think as long as he sets time for himself, away from cameras, he'll grow. For example, he uses a lot of abusive language about women (and otherwise,) but when he was on the Deen Show, he checked himself and was very respectful. Inshaallah, he'll learn more and more about adab and the duality of the Deen. It's the religion with both the most feminine and also most masculine qualities--something which needs to be extrapolated on. Who knows maybe I'll make a video on it.

@@zainabk2866 How am I contradicting myself? It's called nuance. It's not about judging one's sins but allowing growth for one's outlook to change while still embracing him into the community as a revert. We can do this while also remaining observant as to the ideologies he endorses or renounces because he's got a lot of sway in certain communities, and it'd be remiss to ignore the implications if he says or does something wrong and people accidentally equate it to Islam and not the individual. It's not even about sin, but growth. People don't change overnight but we must give everyone an equal shake to have time to grow if they are sincere. He does need to learn about femininity within Islam (and other Islamic topics in general), but that doesn't mean he doesn't speak truth about the modern gender situation. Also, Allah will be the pinnacle dispenser of judgement, and if Tate's conversion is sincere then his previous sins are wiped. What he does after that is his choice. And if you're butthurt about such a fact--that he's converted and his previous sins are wiped clean--then that's your issue and you have a lot of work to do in your heart. Just remember that Allah chooses Islam for whom he wills. Omar Ibn Al-Khattab (R.A) was about to kill our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) before he saw the error in his ways and repented and turned to Allah. And look, he's one of the best of men in our history.

I don't think Andrew Tate is misogynistic because I have seen his full videos with context. first, we guys need to know the meaning of misogyny is hatred or dislike towards women. he never said anything that contemplates with misogyny. somethings he said must in different words such as property and stuff because that's wrong and he also said men can have many sex partners which is also haram and against Islamic teachings rather than that I don't think anything he said was wrong or misogynistic. he made many good points on western culture hook up is wrong. going to clubs and dressing so little and uploading photos in media with cleavage dress is wrong. after accepting Islam, he also said that he will change his views on something and also his wordings. everyone does mistakes but when they are ready to correct their mistakes that makes Allah to love them more. sister don't judge him because of short clips in media but see long context videos because we are Muslims, we should be expert on it don't judge on no context format. i also request you to watch Andrew Tate interview with Mohammed hijab.

Did the Ummah ask for receipts of Khalifa Umar RA or Khalid ibn Walid RA when they made shahada- and they did WAY worse than Brother Tate could ever do before entering Islam. Are you making takfir upon him? As long as he isn't doing anything or saying anything that is major shirk or major kufr you have no right to question his intentions. We judge by what is apparent. It is obligatory upon you to accept his shahada. SubhanAllah "Usamah bin Zaid (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent us to Huraqat, a tribe of Juhainah. We attacked that tribe early in the morning and defeated them, (then) a man from the Ansar and I caught hold of a man (of the defeated tribe). When we overcame him, he said: 'La ilaha illallah (There is no true god except Allah).' At that moment, the Ansari spared him, but I attacked him with my spear and killed him. By the time we went back to Al-Madinah, news had already reached Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said to me, "O Usamah, did you kill him after he professed La ilaha illallah (There is no true god except Allah)?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah! He professed it only to save his life." Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) repeated, "Did you kill him after he had professed La ilaha illallah?" He went on repeating this to me until I wished I had not embraced Islam before that day (so that I would have not committed this sin)." I listen to some of his content and it makes me roll my eyes.....and then I listen to something else and I find him to be likeable.....and then I see something and wanna smack my head......and then I hear something and I go back to liking him, lol. I think he says things for shock value and he has admitted in a video that he does so because it's "provocative." Andrew Tate stands out because he confidently expresses views that go against the current societal trends. I wish that he would understand that using language that is free of profanity would ALSO make him stand out (even more) because he'd be going against the current conversational trend in society in which profanity is like an epidemic. May Allah increase his knowledge and practice of Islam and make his conversion a sincere one that benefits him in this world and the next as well. Amin.

Umar ibn Al khattab (RA) was on the way to KILL The Prophet (peace be upon him) when he became muslim, The Prophet (peace be upon him) embraced him as a brother and became one his close friends. Khalid ibn Waleed (RA) killed many companions of The Prophet (peace be upon him) , when he became muslim he was embraced with open arms. Hind bint Utba (RA) not only ordered the killing of Hamzah (RA) who was the beloved uncle of The Prophet (peace be upon him) and his last left uncle alive but she also mutilated Hamzah's (RA) body and wore parts of his body in celebration of his death as well as eat the Liver from Hamzah (RA), such was the hate of Islam and The Prophet (peace be upon him) at the time. When The Prophet (peace be upon him) reclaimed Mecca (where Hind bint Utba resided) he specifically ordered his me there to be no killing of anybody and all may live in peace. Also Wahshi ibn Harb (RA), this mans name was enough to know who he was, ibn Harb means "SON OF WAR". This was the man who was the Hitman/Killer of Hamzah, (who also embraced Islam) was treated similarly, the only The Prophet (peace be upon him) did with him is that he told Wahshi (RA) to not be around him because he sees Wahshi(RA), he remembers his beloved uncle Hamzah (RA). In fact when people started becoming muslim in droves, people around him would ask him why he doesn't become muslim and his response was "how could i be forgiven for the BIG wrong/mistake i have done", Wahshi (RA) then sent a letter asking that same question "I want to accept Islam but would I be forgiven".. The Prophet (peace be upon him) had no answer for him and then was when Verse 70 of Chapter 25 Al-Furqan revealed: [ (25:70) As for those who repent and believe (in Allah) and does righteous works. For such, Allah will even change their evil deeds into good deeds. Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Compassionate. ] Now tell me who is Andrew Tate compared to these men? He’s a Muslim now and requires guidance and time to change and it shouldn’t be rushed. May we all have the wisdom to not jump on hate trains.

He made his money as a pimp from prostitutes and porn stars! How is that a man with Islamic values and respects women?

@@user-dr1rg4vq2q that’s what I told my son. But if he has converged we can let really say anything bad about him now. His history literally is history . Hopefully he has turned a new page in life . Allah knows best. I’m just sick of my son speaking about him, and I have to correct my son’s incorrect views . Because many things he states aren’t in line with Islam , well he made most ignorant statements prior to Islam . So InshAllah things improve with him .

I do not know your relationship with your religion so I think you are taking a fair approach given what you shared are the expectations and beliefs of people newly converted. I think you are quite aware of many situations that you might move into that might not be the safest space for you so I'd say you are very woke. Please to not onboard revisionist conservative language (appropriated by critics of the left and progressives) and agenda without rigorously interrogating it.
