It's funny that Andrew says he wants a god that's feared but yet he and so many others seem to have no faith in their God. They do not believe their God is powerful they do not believe their God gets retribution for being mocked, otherwise they wouldn't need to do it themselves. If their God was powerful their God would get the vengeance they would not have to go around beating and raping and getting vengeance for him. It suggests their lack of true belief in his power that they do his work for him. I'm not religious but if I was I certainly wouldn't want a God that seeks retribution and can't handle being mocked that seems to be like a very fragile insecure being. Then people may say, "well you can show your love" , and I say God shows his love everyday through his greatest creations. People will often use the "Oh, well if God exists, then why do kids die?" And thats a complicated answer, and one which requires people to step outside of emotion for second. But if thats you asking, then consider the following. If God was real, and he decided to not let kids die, would that be fair? What about the 60yr old war veteran who gave everything for his country and never had kids, who gets cancer but still feels he has another 30 strong years of life left, does God just let him die because he is not a kid? So then you may say - "Well, yes, lets save him too, lets ask God to stop people from dieing" . But really think about that, a world where no one can die, can you imagine the chaos? So then you might say "well can't he rid the world of pain?" But pain and hurt is just the worst part of any given situation, even if he cured all the illness and poverty and suffering, the bar of what we consider pain and suffering would just move, and what we once considered good and positive, would seem less so as we would have nothing to compare it to. Life is like a great ballad. You need the high notes and the low notes, you need the hard times to make the good times feel good. Life isn't fair or unfair, its a journey, and God has given you a road map to happiness through his word, all you have to do is listen, and don't feel like you have to conform to some major religion. Your God can be personal to you. Maybe you like what Jesus was about but feel out of place in a Church, thats fine, live your life quietly and peacefully by his guidance. Most people don't have a problem with Religion, they have a problem with other peoples interpretation of it. Make your own luck though, and make your own mind up. God loves you, Jesus loves you, no matter who you are or what you have done ❤

(Yes, Europe is.) Of women in my age group, the ones with the greatest sense of fulfillment are the ones with good educations and interesting work. Some have been married to lifelong partners, and among those, those who had children had no more than two children. Among those married women with children, the ones who were married for more than two decades were in marriages with men who were partners and companions. The model of uneducated and utterly dependent females as domestic laborers/baby machines doesn’t work in any society where people are born with equal rights. Broken homes breed more broken homes, and the most miserable females I know are poor and constantly made poorer by their miserable and unsuccessful adult children and grandchildren. These women have been divorced two or three times. Their adult children show up to ask for money, a place to live and mooch off mom, or for free childcare for their own offspring. The women grow old in ill health and constant fatigue and usually have relationships with different loser males every year, still desperate to find “love” at fifty, dixty, and even seventy. What works? People who reach adulthood able to provide for themselves and live independently (not in a parent’s attic) can launch happy, successful lives. If they can do that (1) before producing children or getting married, (2) stay free of debt, and (3) learn to control their impulses, they stand ready to lead successful and happy lives either with or without a spouse or with or without children. The answers in America don’t work in other cultures. And because America has been taken over by outside forces, our answers won’t work much longer.
