They killed millions during that 200 years which nobody will talk about. They used to open fire at any sort of protest by Indians. They even passed laws which allowed Britain to arrest anybody they want without any reasons. Britain built the railway in India but not for the people. It was built to transport loot to sea ports. People were denied education, food, or any sort of development. Obviously there were few viceroys who wanted to rule India for Indians but those guys were removed from the power very soon by the queen. The manufactured famines during world wars killed a lot a of people in india because britain decided to take all the supplies from India to the soldiers. So ya, If anybody thinks Colonialism was good any country, that means you are sick and still secretly proud of what your ancestors did to millions of people around the globe.

Which you all Indians are proud of which btw is garbage beacuse it's too diverse and people from different regions aren't the same. Another thing is that ethnic Indians don't exist. Inside of India there are different people which are ethnicities themselves. From what I know different Indian states looted and murdered themselves for the whole of history but when Britain came and did that you all start complaining how bad they are. Also law and order was established since Europeans came which was very beneficial too and I actually won't change my opinion about colonialism beacuse I don't care about colonised people's interests. "The statistic that India produced 25 per cent of world output in 1800 and 2 to 4 per cent of it in 1900 does not prove that India was once rich and became poor. It only tells us that industrial productivity in the West increased four to six times during this period...National income statistics do not show that during British rule the Indian economy became steadily poorer". Source: Tirthankar Roy, Professor of Economic History, born and educated in India. There was an industrial revolution and the total GDP of the world grew faster than the GDP of India. India's GDP increased under the British but not as much as in the West.

Mind boggling the anti-China mindset permeating all throughout the West, from academia and on down..it's bad enough when it comes from Neo-Cons, mass media, etc, but to see it from schools/universities historians, not to mention the overwhelming majority of liberals, as well as so called leftists, and progressives. It's truly insane how the group-think takes ahold on certain foreign policy viewpoints, when people that normally disagree on every single issue on all things domestic, become lockstep on thier imperialist viewpoint of China. The Overton window is skewed so far towards a neo-connish hawkish view, that any "moderate" view ( i.e anything not viewing China with the utmost hatred) is seen as some extreme stance, to be instantly shunned, and discredited as some China sympathizing traitor. This animosity comes from liberals, conservatives, and even so-called Western "Maoists".

If wasn’t the British it was always going to be someone else. The idea of morals is flawed when looking back in hindsight. The only lesson is how not to be conquered is the one we must all learn from history on why certain civilisations where so easily conquered and why. Indias problem was it was so fractured with lots of different kingdoms to play against one another, it was never a unified concept, which ironically was something the British brought along as to run the empire to its eventual collapse.
