Andrew was my brother's friend. My brother was a guitarist as well.....he was learning to play this song. Andrew played at my sister's wedding and my brother's memorial service ....my brother Tom loved this song. Everytime I hear it ....I think of him. Rest in Peace Tom ......Thank you Andrew.

The first time I heard this in the spring of 1994 I played it like nine times in a row. The magic is still there almost 30 years later. Although it is perfectly realized idiomatic for the guitar it works just as well as absolute music ( I've played it on the harpsichord). Last but not least it is one of the GREATEST pieces of music for driving to.

@@AndrewYorkguitar If you have a restless muse like mine its all about what you wrote recently rather than back in 1987 ( I think that was the date of Faire) Rest assured I think Centerpiece is just as good as Faire, meandering from one beautiful idea to another effortlessly
