Nice looking clubs with standard lofts. Its good to see a few company's out there taking on the big boys and loved the wall behind you some of the golfing greats on it.

I’ve had these irons for 3 years and use their 3 wedges as well. I love them! There’s no shame when your hitting girs! First set where I actually loved hitting my 5 iron!

Hallo Andrew, loved the review. They look and preform great! Simple and honest clubs. I completely agree on you on your loft rant. Jacked up lofts are not helping anyone. Loft is your friend, people need to understand d-plane! You could say clubs like this are the real game improvers!

Hi Andy, did some reviews on the Bombtech equipment a few years ago and thought for the money was good performance.

Wilson Staff also staying true to traditional loft numbers in their irons. Good review.

Only on the "player" sets. The C and D series are all strong lofted.

Love how you really bang on the modern vs traditional loft. I left golf 20 years ago playing on early 80’s clubs , returned in 2020 playing on mid 90s but 70s era numbers irons from England. ( u.s. player). At first I thought I had become a total geriatric watching the distances vs my distance same club. I generally play 2 clubs lower than my mates, but I don’t end up standing there screaming at my ball to check up…. Pop it high flop it soft. Hitting a bomb to the green is pointless if it just blows off the back. Which seems to be even more pronounced these days as greens have become holy hell fast. Modern mentality golfers are assault golfers; no tactics ,no strategy.. just aim and hulk smash..

Big Thank you !! I have been wanting to see a true review on these clubs. The only part that was on the launch monitor that you didn't mention was a decent of 44 degrees ! That is great when wanting a ball to stop as well . The numbers are really good , this came as a surprise due to todays trend as you mentioned Being I'm in the states ill be buying a set when in the market for new clubs!!

Ive seen loads of bad reviews on these because "Ive lost 2 clubs distance", it seems a lot of people are missing the point. Great review, do you have the wedges to test too???

just get fitted. i went with rocketbladez the 7 iron is like 29 degrees so it went further but also launched higher with tight dispersion solid numbers across the board.

I have their wedges & they're great. I'm not a very good golfer but with their wedges I hit very consistent flop shops. I recently lost a 60 degree & no one bothered to turn it in. I called bombtech & they just gave me one, no charge. I said wow, this makes me want to try your irons. They said "if i give you 50% off would you try them". So I said hell yes! They should be here soon, can't wait to see how they do against my Ping G30's

@@Frankenfurtfarter I ordered a set of pre owned 4.0s. When asked why pre owned on the phone I said I have 2 small children and I'm on a super tight budget. The lady helping me out said she'd said me new ones for the price of pre owned and she'd pay the difference. I will not say her name because she made me promise I wouldn't. Shit brought tears to my eyes. Bombtech is a solid solid solid company. Wish them very much success.

I kinda agree I use rocketbladez so 150 would be my 8 iron but one must be fitted and see if the set suits I had a higher launch with these so I went with taylormade based on launch and dispersion yeah they are a little further .

Andrew I bought these clubs after being unhappy with my old TM Rocketbladez. I found even after dropping 1 club to say use a Bombtech 7 iron at 36 degrees instead of my TM 8 iron at 35 degrees, I consistently come up 5-6 yards short from 150 yards. The BT club is 37" and the TM is 36.5 inches. I play Stiff flex in both, with the TM club using a Arthur Xtreme Engineering 85g Excaliber shaft. They are almost 7 years old now, and the BT clubs have been sitting in the box unused after less than 10 rounds with them. Thinking they have not had a fair shake, I would like to 'boost' their performance a little bit with a shaft change.I am considering a move to reshaft the BT irons with Nippon Pro 950GH shafts in Stiff, to get that extra 5-10 yards of carry and rollout. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

Hi Mike, changing shafts in my experience can be very costly with no results at the end. Would personally sell the unwanted Irons and start again with a reputable custom fit outfit. Regards Andrew

Great review and would love to try them if they were available in the UK. But, and for me it's a big but, the script on the back of the club; luminous green-really? There are limits and this exceeds them. Every time I pulled a club out of the bag I would cringe with embarrassment. In this case form really would overcome function.

What exactly do you call a little bit when you refer to the offset Andrew,what could you compare them to,I like the look of them but I would really need to see them and hit them.as usual it's another good review.
@andrewainsworth497
@andrewainsworth497 6 жыл бұрын
As you say Mike. You would need to see one to decide on the offset. This is where golf club choices become a personal decision.

So most of the big names on youtube always say how important custom fit is, obliviously these guys do not agree with that? Or do they tell you to go and get lie/length checked at a pro? PS - Very similar lofts to my Zing 2s haha only been playing a year so often wonder if its worth getting new clubs but I think its the player more than the club most of the time!
@andrewainsworth497
@andrewainsworth497 6 жыл бұрын
Would still consider custom fitting as a option, especially if you are taller/shorter than average.

Hi Andrew. Why would they go stepless steel shafts?
@andrewainsworth497
@andrewainsworth497 5 жыл бұрын
Some people say that a stepless shaft gives a smoother feel, not sure about that myself. I guess you would have to ask the Bombtech people to get the answer. Thanks for watching.
