@LxE97992 ай бұрын
I guess they either missed using 7 strings, or just dropped the 7th string on their 8s to a G#. Or dropped the 8th to D# and played higher on the neck. I think they actually did all of those through various live performances, with each guitarist opting for a different strategy each time, lol
@Sasquatch332 ай бұрын
@@LxE9799They switch to 7 strings in their live shows. You can see their 7 strings in the bloodstock live vid. Which is weird, because in that show they play straws pulled at random right after as the next song (back to 8 strings) then future breed machine after that (back to 7 strings in A# standard). When it seems like they could just do what you said and tune their A# to G#.
@LxE9799Ай бұрын
@@Sasquatch33 yeah, but I heard that it's new and that in the beginning of the Immutable tour they were still using their 8s and just tuning the A# down. Interesting
@Sasquatch33Ай бұрын
@@LxE9799 They were using their 8s in A# for the beginning of the US immutable tour. I saw them live Oct 2022 and I have a video of Fredrik playing the future breed machine solo on his 8. But ever since that bloodstock show in Nov 2023 (or probably even a bit before) they've been using 7s for abysmal eye, humiliative, future breed etc.

While probably not "metal" enough for this channel. My favorite G# riff is A World Away by Tremonti. The way it's mixed and when the two guitars come in. It's a "grimace with joyful disgust" riff. Your rendition had the beef I miss in their guitar tone. Good job.
