You can definitely set the pitch/pedal parameters per scene, just as you are with the bypass switches. Just press and hold the knobs in the same way.

Just a couple of notes from a QC user. Big thing you have clearly missed which will make things so much easier for you! You were bypassing the blocks per scene, but you can do this with ANY parameter by pressing and holding until the symbol appears. Now this parameter is assignable per scene. This being said; 1. You do not need a splitter for the time based effects. Bypass time based effects per scene. The way you did it in the video means you have dry signal mixed in when time-based effects are engaged, which I'm assuming is not what you want.... 2. Regarding changing the pitch shift setting. Change the pitch parameter per scene, press and hold -> four squares, assign per scene! 3. There is a noise gate built into the input block of each line of the grid. This saves a block on the grid :) This is also assignable by pressing and holding so you can switch it off for cleans etc.

But it's awesome. I only gig with QC now as well, 1 preset with 8 scenes and thats it for about 3 years! lol For carcosa's recordings, do you and cooper double track each rythm to sound this awesome?? or is it 1 rythm each and done?

@chamucomusico9 ай бұрын
I use the neural plug ins for everything, covers, recording, producing etc My biggest takeaway when it comes to drop tunings is, if you’re going under Drop A, I’ve gotten the best results with an active guitar, and by actually being in that tuning. The pitch shifter is good, but nowhere near great. Lower the gain on the amp for some clarity and don’t try to overcompensate bass in the EQ, if you’re adding bass to your project/cover That’s the magic of plug ins, you don’t gotta commit to an amp recording So experiment with the EQ and trust your ears Also Gojira,Nolly and Fortín are great for drop tunings
@themightymcb731026 күн бұрын
With the neural DSP plugins specifically, I've found the tone gets really abrasive and hissy if you crank the tone knob on the overdrives. I usually keep it somewhere around 9 or 10 o'clock to avoid this

There's maybe one or two 8 string players out of every single one that I have ever heard that I can tolerate listening to from a musical standpoint. It all sounds absolutely horrible to my ears, which was really strange to me when the 8 string started becoming popular a few years ago because I love heavy music. I have arrived at the conclusion that very few people actually use the 8 string properly. I don't know if it's technique or what but hardly anyone can manage to make the instrument sound any different than some clumsy little kid at guitar center randomly strumming the open low strings.

@FastFret7589 ай бұрын
It’s all about the amp you favor like this example he knows he likes the peavey range and which cabs are best suited for his type of playing. When you are familiar with that you can eq things a lot faster and avoid having to deal with things you don’t like in your tone.
@abdullahkuzhan72478 ай бұрын
The cabinet is the one aspect that effects tone the most, it basically defines the character of your tone and does a bunch of shaping in advance, so does the power amp but not as much. So that's usually where you'd start and just go by taste. Everything else is just experience. Too muddy? Usually too much gain or the low end is not tight enough, an overdrive helps. Too fizzy? Usually too much high end. To better cut through a mix and more punch in your tone you need mid frequencies. Too much mids is going to sound boxy though. With these kinds of tone you'll always have to get rid of a lot of bass because the guitar is already tuned super duper low and needs clear separation from the actual bass guitar.
