A quick note to say I found your channel after I saw the video you made for The Londonist. I've just binge watched all your stuff and subscribed. Keep up the good work. :)

Hi Andrew. I regularly visit London from Australia, and love it. Sadly though I have only just found your VLOGS. I love the way you present them, your research, humour and presentation style are so engaging. I note you haven’t VLOG’d for a while, I trust your well, but I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into each one. I thought the line in this VLOG “but handsome stranger”, was so funny :-). Now I’ll have to binge watch them all.

Greenwich is lovely to visit by boat up the Thames, it's like stepping back to Victorian times with the Cutty Sark, and Maritime Museum. There's also people selling pieces of clay pipes and old coins, which are washed up on the shore. If you walk on the small beaches, remember the Thames is tidal, so can rise by ten feet.

There’s a whole load of big sewers under Greenwich Park and a cave network under Blackheath, which is only a minute from the top gate of the park.

Could you do me a favour please? Next time use a better microphone which doesn't record the noise of the wind. It's really annoying. Thx.
@ExploringLondon5 жыл бұрын
This isn't the first comment about audio quality in my videos but I'll address it here for anyone who's thinking it. I spend a lot of time during editing trying to get the sound as good as I can get it, but I know it doesn't always sound perfect. You spend 5 minutes watching one of these videos, I spend 2 months making them in my spare time, and spend endless hours poring over them trying to craft them into the finished video. I know very well what it sounds like, I see every flaw. I do however believe that it is always clear what I'm saying, and wouldn't publish something that was inaudible or quality-wise was embarrassingly bad. But please note, this is not my job. You'll notice there's no advertising, no sponsors, no one is funding me. The equipment I have is hilariously basic and scraped together from things I have anyway for other purposes. I'd love to have a nice microphone just as I'd love to have a proper camera, or a better computer to edit the videos on, or better software. But these cost large quantities of money which I don't have, so for now I'll spend a lot of blood sweat and tears trying to get the kit I do have to be as good as it can be. And sometimes that'll mean the wind will blow a bit. There's nothing I can do about that.
