Thank you so much, you have given me the courage to try this! I do have a question. You state that you put "random" drops of water on the paper to start. When you start applying paint like the purple in this, do you add it to a water drop, or to a dry area and let it run into the drops? Once again thanks!!

Hi , so much impressed with your painting style. I know simplicity is not so simple. In fact much difficult. But definitely getting inspired. One question , what is your method of splashing water to make the paper wet by small droplets in restricted area ? Do you make use of spray bottle or so ? Also , do you work on flat surface ? Thanks !
@AndrewGeesonloosewatercolours4 жыл бұрын
Hi Milind, thanks for your kind words, I drop water randomly to start with so the paint starts to flow but I dont use a spray as it make the paint go everywhere...not good! and yes I work flat always or the paint will always flow to the bottom of the page
@sushrutad4 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew , thanks for your prompt and valuable response. In that case how do you manage to splash droplets in restricted area ? I know practice and experience is the key but just eager to understand the method. By brush and pointing finger or tooth brush and pointing finger which some artists use to spray paint to give effects. Just eager to know since this seems to be important step to start with. thanks again.

Do have to use a special canvas for watercolor or just the same ones as you do foe acrylics?
@MO99ish5 жыл бұрын
Lisa Hitchings you will need watercolor paper. Don’t go for the cheapest. The paint doesn’t flow well.

Beautiful ! When doing these loose paintings, do you wet the entire page or do you just add random drops of water?
@MO99ish5 жыл бұрын
ReeseGG It’s random water drops. I usually give it a squirt or to from a spray bottle.
