@eyes to the hills So I was reading what you said and I went and found out what the writer intended by "reckless love" I hope you understand his heart. "Many have asked me for clarity on the phrase, “reckless love”. Many have wondered why I’d use a “negative” word to describe God. I’ve taken some time to write out my thoughts here. I hope it brings answers to your questions. But more than that, I hope it brings you into an encounter with the wildness of His love. When I use the phrase, “the reckless love of God”, I’m not saying that God Himself is reckless. I am, however, saying that the way He loves, is in many regards, quite so. What I mean is this: He is utterly unconcerned with the consequences of His actions with regards to His own safety, comfort, and well-being. His love isn’t crafty or slick. It’s not cunning or shrewd. In fact, all things considered, it’s quite childlike, and might I even suggest, sometimes downright ridiculous. His love bankrupted heaven for you. His love doesn’t consider Himself first. His love isn’t selfish or self-serving. He doesn’t wonder what He’ll gain or lose by putting Himself out there. He simply gives Himself away on the off-chance that one of us might look back at Him and offer ourselves in return. His love leaves the ninety-nine to find the one every time. To many practical adults, that’s a foolish concept. “But what if he loses the ninety-nine in search of the one?” What if? Finding that one lost sheep is, and will always be, supremely important. His love isn’t cautious. No, it’s a love that sent His Own Son to die a gruesome death on a cross. There’s no “Plan B” with the love of God. He gives His heart so completely, so preposterously, that if refused, most would consider it irreparably broken. Yet He gives Himself away again. The recklessness of His love is seen most clearly in this - it gets Him hurt over and over. Make no mistake, our sin pains His heart. And “70 times 7” is a lot of times to have Your heart broken. Yet He opens up and allows us in every time. His love saw you when you hated Him - when all logic said, “They’ll reject me”, He said, “I don’t care if it kills me. I’m laying My heart on the line.” To get personal, His love saw me, a broken down kid with regret as deep as the ocean; My innocence and youth poured out like water. Yet, He saw fit to use me for His kingdom because He’s just that kind. I didn’t earn it and I sure as heck don’t deserve it, but He’s just that good. Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God."

It’s not irresponsibility and not senseless. But it is the quality of good Shepherd who cares for each sheep of his flock. When other Shepherds didn’t care for the sheep when they were lost, He did. May be those Shepherd care did their life. They didn’t want to take risk for 1 lost sheep. But He went to the wilderness and brought back the lost one. These 99 the flock was in safe place. The one that was lost that went to wilderness. The good Shepherd didn’t want that roaring Lion and beasts of the wilderness eat the lost sheep. The good Shepherd knew he can defeat the roaring Lion, he can defeat the beasts of wilderness. He is wise and brave, Kind and merciful.

when i was 15yrs old, i tried committing suicide. i took 20 pills. i was so close to death. my whole body swelled up. i got bumps all over my body. my throat was startin to close up and i could barely even breathe. i knew i was seconds away from death. i was gasping for air. i got scared and regretted it right away. i wished ive never done it. for the first time in my life, i cried out to God and told him i dont wanna die. i jus need help. plz help me. plz help me. i wept. within seconds, i felt this warmth, love and peace surround me. i knew for a fact it was God. within seconds, he healed my whole body. i could breathe. swelling was gone. he instantly delivered me from suicidal thoughts and depression after strugglin with it for 6yrs. psychiatrists and psychologists and takin their medicine never helped. the only thing that WORKED was when i cried out to God and asked him for help. he instantly saved me and delivered me and performed miracles on me. he gave me a new outlook on life. for once in my life i actually wanted to live and not die. that was something odd for me cuz for 6yrs i wanted to die so bad. my mom had cancer and shes the reason why i tried taking my life cuz i didnt wanna lose her. i lost her at 16yrs old and lost my dad at 17yrs old. i didnt kno Jesus until i was 24 n a half yrs old. im 25 now n my relationship with Jesus is so strong. hes helped me change into a whole diff person. ppl actually see the miraculous change in me. if it wasnt for Jesus, id be dead right now. The only healer u need is Jesus. hes our healer. Go to Jesus for healing. im living proof 😊💖 Jesus loves u😊💖 he wants u to repent and forsake ur sins, be born again and place ur faith n trust in him. start havin a personal relationship with Jesus and obey him 😊💖

Sounds like relationship vs. religion! When I taught Sunday school for preschoolers, one of them took off her sandals. I put them back on. She didn't argue or resist...but as soon as I turned around to pay attention to someone else, her sandals were back off. Other children wanted to do it, too. This happened with another 3 year-old who kept running around "wild" at another church, too. When I was like, "What's going on, Lord?", He reminded me of how He told Moses to take his sandals off because he was on holy ground. After that, I let them take off their sandals and keep them off if they wanted. After I left that ministry (because the leaders were not praying about how to run it!), I was still on the mailing list and saw the ministry director telling the teachers the "new rules" for children taking off shoes. Surprise: they couldn't do it! I prayed for them. New "new rules": if the children take off their shoes, then the teachers should at least have them back on by the time the parents come to pick them up. lol I used to get all of the "free spirited" prophetic children who could hear God very well even at an early age. I became a believer very young but "forgot" my faith when my parents "forgot" theirs and discouraged me from growing in my relationship with God. But God wouldn't stop chasing me until I learned to ignore what unbelievers say and believe Him. He sure does recklessly stalk and reclaim His lost "sheep"...then turns us into reckless shepherds, too! I definitely have a heart for protecting prophetic children's faith against religiosity and doubt.

Isn't it amazing. Our sins are as far away as the east is to the west. I pray you stay the course, run the race. I pray this in Jesus name. I'm a prodigal too. Messed my life up as well. God turns it around for our good though and something's take much longer than other aspects of our life. When I back slid I had a child with a non Christian. My son is now 6 and lives with his dad. It's devastating. I do see him though. Perhaps a third of the year. It's been 5 years since he and I split and I have just bought myself a unit. That was a miracle in itself. The next miracle I'm waiting on is having my son back in my care. I believe it will happen will just take time.

I was such a disaster before God. I blamed Him for everything wrong in my life. I had so much hate towards Him and I made it obvious everywhere I went. The PTSD, OCD, bipolar , severe anxiety, were so bad. They completely took over my life. I was so afraid to leave my house because I was a mess in public. I stayed far away from people. I was so afraid. 26 years of abuse did this to me. The anger and unforgiveness was causing physical pain. I was suicidal constantly, everyday . I was so desperate. Nothing and no one could help me. My psych doctor was so frustrated. We tried everything. Nothing would relieve the depression and anxiety. I was so done with life. Then one day I prayed, I begged for Him to at least take the pain. The pain healed instantly. So, I started praying everyday, constantly. KZbin prayer videos helped me because I couldn't remember how to pray. Words wouldn't come out. I have let go of my past, and walk as closely to God as I can. I have been completely delivered from all my diagnosis, from all the abuse, the victim mentality, He is healing my marriage, healing my kids. For the first time in 27 years I can honestly say I feel alive, I feel set free, I am full of peace, I love waking up in the morning, I love His presence. I never would have believed that the God of the universe, the King of Kings, could love or want me of all people, a lost, ugly soul. Even after all I've done. He loves me. He loves us all, no matter how far we've wandered, no matter the ugliness of our hearts and minds, He loves us with His overwhelming, never ending wreck less love of His.

I first heard this song about a week ago, during Focus Week, a weeklong retreat for Intervarsity chapters across the state of Florida. I was speechless hearing this song. When I was his foe, Jesus fought for me. When I had no hope. Jesus gave it all for me. I only truly started following Him two years ago, and yet I've felt Him guiding me throughout my life. Guiding my decisions, my actions, working in the background of my life. This song made me realize that even if it seems like He isn't helping, that He isn't caring, that he is. Because He helped me even as I was His foe, His unbeliever. There's nothing He wouldn't do to come after me. I can only hope to return the favor to Him throughout the rest of my life.

How am I just now realizing I wasnt saved. I've had light encounters of the holy spirit compared to now. I feel like I am in sacloth just crying out for more because I need more. Last night I got to experience an amazing thing that just made me cry. A grown man just breaking down in the office in the back of a Walmart because the homeless man that sleeps in my cart corralle at my store was there and I always look at him with disgust but last night was different. He's cold, hes hungry and I just wanted to give him all I had. I wanted God to put him on a thrown and show him the Love God has revealed to me. All I could give him was my food but he was so much happier to have it than me. God please just let me do more of that I'll sell it all and follow you God I'll take up my cross and throw myself away so you can fill me up with your love and spirit God please just touch my life and USE ME FOR YOUR WILL. About 2, almost 3 months ago, I got out of a car wreck and walked away when I should have died in it. I was driving a car that I had since April 2019. It was a 2018 Hyundai elantra. I had jammed a 1 litre Dr pepper bottle into my small cup holder before leaving. The thing ended up popping out because of the pressure, and when I turned to see what made the noise, I looked back and had only a fraction of a second to brake before hitting a pickup truck that I didn't see stopping, ready to turn left. I tried to stop and turn to the right, but I was going the speed limit in a 50 mph zone. I scream "JESUS, HELP!" My car hit with its bumper on the driver side on the trucks bumper. Their trailer hitch went straight through my left headlight. Airbags deployed but my head never hit them, everything kind of goes crazy. Thats when I heard God's voice telling me, "I still have plans for you here." I couldn't open my door, but my seatbelt was able to come loose. Not enough space to get to the other door, so I grabbed a recue hammer from my center console and shattered my window and pulled myself out. The other guy had driven his truck out of the way of traffic, undamaged save for a medium sized dent in his rear bumper. The other guy told me he would help me get the driver out of the vehicle and was surprised when I said I was the driver. I literally had not a single scratch on me. Thats when I looked at my car from the outside for the first time. The front was pushed in toward the driver side, and basically would have killed the driver almost on impact. The hood was literally 5 inches from going through the windshield and decapitating me. We called 9-1-1 and the police and later an ambulance show up, I get checked out and the paramedics said there was no damage to my body, and no head injuries. Not even broken ribs from the seatbelt. I realized how small the seatbelt was and I remembered feeling something really thick going across my chest, preventing me from going forward. I believe it to be Gods arm that saved me. They said it was luck, I said "no, it's a *miracle."* and explained my walk with Christ, shared my testimony with them, and explained the power of simply asking God into any situation in your life, as I did about 45 minutes before I started talking with them. I even prayed for one of them, and I prayed for the police officer as well. I felt extremely calm in one of the most chaotic incidents in my life. To this day I still feel no effects of what should have certainly been the cause of my death, and it really would have been the end of my life if it were not for God stepping in. And I knew that God would provide me with a way to get around. And that came to reality when about 3 weeks ago, I was looking for a car to buy, and I found a person who was selling their car for about $10,000, which was already cheap as it was, but I did not have the money to pay for it yet. I still went over to look at it and be sure it was in good condition and not a fake listing on the website I found it on. I asked the owner questions about it, and about the history of it, things like that. But then they asked me if I was in a car wreck on the exact date it was on and I said yes. That was when I saw in the spirit that they were also a Christian. I told them God revealed to me they were a Christian. They said they knew it was me that God told them about and that if I went to see the vehicle, they were to give it to me for free. *Which they did!* We prayed together and I thanked them and thanked God for his provisions, and now I am driving a year old Mazda CX-5 that god provided to me for free! God has been good to me, and has certainly never let me down.

Once I ran away from God, trying to hide from him. I blurred him out of my life so I could try to be "popular" at my school.. this was when everything in my life was just dead to me. My best friend didn't like me anymore, I didn't really KNOW God, I hated my personality type (ISTP) and my friends. I didn't talk to anyone except my sister so I told her that God wasn't really vivid in my life anymore and that night she showed me this song they played at Camp 220 (which I have yet to experience) and it felt like God picked me up and threw me into realization that he LOVED ME! After doubting him, using him, hating him, screaming at him, and SO many other things! This song was used by God to bring me back and without it I would probably be stuck in that awful situation again.

Guys being a Christian teen can be hard, it can be so so hard with all the temptations and wanting to be like all the other teen our age, wanting to fit in. But boy do i have something to tell you, fitting in a place for a short time it sad, fitting in a place eternally is freaking awesome. I mean backsliding is easy, yes it is but you have chosen to follow God and no one ever said that it would be easy and if they did then they might not be living a very righteous life. I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real, it's impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me; it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Mercy, as I sing this song there is a real pain, or a shame, or a shocking awakening in me: how do we fail to love this God? A God of an unexplainable nature. We will not, in my opinion, be able to fathom the depth of His love and the height of His grace on this side of life/mortality. How do we fail this God? A God who stays anyway. May we His chosen children not waste His goodness: rather emulate Him truly and spread the love He has for us to the entire world. Amen, out of the heart the mouth shall speak. When we love Jesus, we (1) Take up our cross daily (I struggle with the daily); (2) Follow his commandments (I struggle with these as well). But, where I am weak, God meets me to make me stronger. Then my praise increases. How can I not worship Him for that and share that, how GOOD He is! Conclusion: Outward worship is a natural byproduct of the humble, repentive, and connected human heart to God. Mis any of those three= no true worship. All that said, I think what make Steffany a powerful worshiper is that one can sense the geniuness of the Holy Spirit moving THROUGH her, freed and unhindered. I'd be willing to bet she has been forgiven much, or healed of much. Her worship is just too powerful to not have encountered God deeply. I can feel it through the screen. She doesn't care about what we have to think about her tone, her dynamics, inflection, her clothes (almost controlled modesty, from a male: thank you for that), her hair, etc... She just wants to worship the King. And yes, there's much there to be inspired by. There's not enough fog machines and fancy light shows to mask or make up for an un-genuine heart. Church needs a revival, and it starts with a committed and all-out bold, un-hindered, heart for the Lord: as she clearly exhibits.

I personally LOVE that you chose to use the word Reckless. The way God loves us is in fact reckless to human perspective. Who would fight for and love his own enemy, evil doers, and haters of God? Jesus did. Who not only welcomed the prodigal son back, but while he was a far way off ran through town to embrace his son knowing that others would see him welcoming back his son who had betrayed and defaced his reputation. The Father (God). Who so loved the world aka (bad people) that he gave his Son that whoever believed in him would receive eternal life. EVEN knowing that many would reject him. That kind of love is unconditional, crazy, perfect, relentless, powerful, overwhelming, all consuming, and in the context of the gospel of Jesus Christ..Reckless :)

Liberalism, I'm not sure if you're suffering from pent up hurt towards the Church or if you just stand misinformed, but that's beside the point here. Nothing you pointed out was demonically influenced in its inception. "spirit travel" (genuinely have never heard out of body experiences called that) has multiple instances happening in Ezekiel, both in Ezekiel 8 and 40 (mind you, a prophet did this. We were called the prophets by Jesus, meaning we have power in Him to achieve similar effects. And greater.). More examples in II Kings 5 and Revelations 4. You can't tell me that one isn't Biblical without giving me a good reason as to why you're saying 4 passages in the Bible are lies. Really hadn't heard of sozo until you brought it up either, but it sounds like people praying for emotional healing in a very particular instance that was blown out of proportion by people like you that freak out over everything. Also probably someone taking something way too literally. It just a way some people pray. There's no law that dictates "Thou shalt pray 4 times a day facing the holy city bowing in reverence careful to say these exact words." That would be Islam you're looking for if that's the kind of God you like. Kris Vallotton himself admitted that "grave sucking" as you call it started out as a joke in Bethel that a few people took way too seriously. Yeah, stuff like that happens when you're an influential person. Yes we can receive the same mantles as those who came before us if we ask for them from God, I guarantee that nobody in Bethel's staff would deny that. I guarantee that all of them would see what these people are doing as disrespectful, though, and it is. As far as being slain in the spirit goes, I'm not sure if you even understand what people mean when they say that. Yes, there are people who fake it. There's people who fake everything these days. I personally haven't experienced it or similar, but I can acknowledge the fact that the glory of God is really, really powerful. A few words from Him is enough to create an entire universe, and I say that seeing a little of His glory is enough to buckle a few people's knees. Seeing the back of God's head had Moses unconscious and when he came to, he was working on stone tablets. No other explanation is available for why he cuts immediately to that. If you're saying that our God can't appear to us like He did to Moses, then you obviously don't understand how big He is. Plus reckless is a great way to describe God's love. He didn't care what the price was, He gave His own Son -- the very Word of God in man's form -- to bridge the gap we made between ourselves and Him. We don't have a better word for it in our language. Jesus willingly took on all the burden, pain, suffering, and lies that we had wrapping up our lives and never once thought that is might be a bad idea, because He loved us that much, and He still loves us like that. He did that knowing billions would still be lost to Him. He didn't care, though. That's like the definition of reckless, there isn't a better English word for His love. It's like you can't see past people doing things that are weird to you to see we worship the same Father and the same Jesus, and that we share the same Holy Spirit. I'd say most of these things are just manifestations that haven't been seen in centuries, because I know for a fact that stuff like this was happening during the Great Awakenings, which were some of the most powerful moves of God on our continent. It isn't bad, just different. On the flip-side, if you're trolling, congratulations. You got me. Very convincing.

Same here. I left home at 19 and went to study in another country where i became the worst kind of sinner. I was chasing love and validation so much and was always disappointed.
