I loved this video as you took me to so many places I remember from my childhood and teens. I have lived in Scotland for all my adult years, so it was brilliant to see these places again! And the rail carriage - I remember those really well, too! I'm sorry your holiday together has come to an end though.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Crowborough train connections as much as we did at our Easter Break, although you had better weather.

We watched this video with great interest. A couple of years ago we followed a similar itinerary. We cycled from Norman’s Bay to Hastings and Eastbourne and made the same assessment about them . Bexhill is nice, there is a delightfully situated cafe in an Edwardian seafront construction: worth a visit. We then moved on to Crowborough as you have done. The Bluebell Railway was having a beer festival, but driving constraints influenced our consumption! Keep up the good work! R&M

Gosh Andrew , what a lovely video , gorgeous CL. , Rye looks a pretty wee place , lots to do and see , as for Eastbourne ,I suppose COVID has taken its toll etc., as you say Hastings so much better, and as they say it's in the blood , you certainly do enjoy your trains Andrew , these volunteers do a brilliant job , bet you have lined one up for your retirement in the future , ohhhhh East Grinstead the home of Plastic Reconstruction Surgery , the Surgeons I worked for back in the 70s trained there under Sir Archibald McIndoe and Professor Harold Gilles , spent my whole career happily in charge of Twin Operating Theatres for 30years , so hearing the words East Grinstead was music to my ears , great footage as usual , love you videos , happy travels , happy life , happy dogs , best wishes 😊❤😊

Hello Andrew, pleased to see you are so happy at the moment! Another great video; Katie and I will have to explore the south coast sometime soon, it’s a long time since I lived down there in my navy days! We were at Wyatt Covert in the middle of August (35 deg 🥵🪭) and I must say we were pleasantly surprised, we were a little worried with its proximity to the M25 and the HS2 works, however it was peaceful (other than the light aircraft), clean and tidy and really handy for Wembley where we went to see Starlight Express! Keep up the good work, all our very best wishes, Tristan & Katie

It's such a shame when local cafes shut and companies like Costa make billions selling rubbish in plastic wrappers. I can honestly say I've never spent money in a Costa or Starbucks and never will if I can help it. In other news, I think we can all agree that the new era of stress free vlogging Andrew is producing shines through. 😊

Those are some lovely spots…and some great weather, too. Someone took exception with me calling your trip a “staycation” on the first half. I even used the quotes to differentiate it from a true staycation. Can’t please everyone, I guess. Cheers!

Great exploration and info for us about the lovely towns and especially the heritage railways. One day we might get over there to visit them. Re the Adria Altea Dart, do you have any idea what the towball load for it is? I looked at their website and found it has an overall load of 1360kg, which could make it towable within the max tow-load of our Hyundai Ioniq 6 of 1,500kg, even allowing for stores and clothing. However we have a max towball load of 100kg. I could not see any specs about this measure. Never likely to tow one as they are not sold in Australia but it's nice to be alert to what could become available maybe..... one day!
@andrewjdittonАй бұрын
These caravans are max 100kg on the nose

I noticed your adapter fitted in the EV6 V2L unit with it tight shut. I’ve had trouble with this in the past due to the design of the uk plug. Is there something specific that you have done?
@andrewjdittonАй бұрын
It's a pain, but an old-fashioned self-wired 13a plug allows the tight bend necessary in the cable to be able to close the cover. It's a design flaw Kia needs to address.
@nealeTHАй бұрын
@@andrewjditton I was wondering if it was possible to get a Kia V2L adapter from Europe and then use a European plug to caravan cable?
