I've never seen anyone put this together so well. What a brilliantly controlled and faultless performance. That's the real thing. Absolute perfection. Stunned.

Really well played Andrew. I remember learning this tune way back in the early 70's when it was on everyone's "to learn" list. 😉

The rasgueado in this song is so dope, the way you play it too is very true to the original album version, I noticed in the live videos of Bert playing this song that usually he’ll omit the individual finger rasgueados for a 4 finger single beat version, such a difficult technique but you make it look easy, kudos my friend 🥂

Excellent!! I've been listening to the three best versions (Jansch, Davy's own version and Paul Simon's more clinical version) - and trying to learn it - for 50 years. I still can't play it. Great version...

Incredible. This is my favorite version of this song, even more so than Bert Jansch's original. It's the flawless guitarplaying in combination with this old guitar that does it I think.

Thank you. I love these 30s 000 Martins but personally would not pay the price they’re going for recently. I think a lot of people buying them right now are going to get burned if they hope to get their money back out of them some day.

Had to come by and watch again. Excellent. Subscribed. Time for more goodies like this one. PS I have owned about 15 Martins since 1961, currently a 2015 00-18V with highly flamed mahogany backs and sides and a, 1 of 370, 0000-1 from 1997.

Very nice. One of my students has a newer OM that I think is a tremendously good sounding instrument. Have been considering cashing out some of the old guitars and buying new. Prices getting ridiculous on the pre war stuff

@@andrewlardner When I was "buying" back in the 60s 70s and into the early 80s.. guitars were old and used. Now they are vintage and the prices are obscene. The culprits, hustlers such as the infamous Mandolin Bros ruined it for everyone. Surprise!! Martin and Gibson made some real dogs.

@@andrewlardner I just bought another "used" Martin A 1998 J-1, one of 1145 made. (I no longer buy new Martins) It is exactly the same as my 1997 0000-1 with the exception of a full dreadnaught depth. It's a killer guitar. Came back to watch "Angie" again, best rendition I have heard/watched. Thanks.
