his quills goes back to the regular Sonic quills if you notice, but I think he still yellow 'cause he is losing the Super form slowly, and maybe it's the same thing from the classic games, since in those he dies with his normal quills but still yellow like Super

When Sonic is in his super form he's almost invincible not completely 🤔. He can get hurt or damage 🤔. And also his ring energy is going down which he won't stay super for long if he doesn't replenish his ring energy 🤔.

3:50 It's really curious, none boss can really hurt you more to take away some rings. All except Dark Gaia who instead removes the transformation, leaves you unconscious even being transformed It makes me reinforce that Perfect Dark Gaia is possibly more powerful of the bosses and more powerful than Super Sonic even (Sonic Excalibur I don't count it because I don't even know why they put it here)
