If you listen VERY closely you can hear the drowning theme in the Sonic movie scene

I can hear it, yeah. But it's _extremely_ faint, to the point where you wouldn't notice it if you're not actively listening for it. I think it would've been better if they had an orchestral version of the drowning theme playing in the forefront during that scene, rather than having it obscured in the background. Not only would it have been a better implementation of the reference, but it would also add some extra tension to the scene. As is, it felt pretty quiet and held back.

I’ve always had a fascination with, underwater/swimming/drowning scenes in animated movies. Some examples include: ‘The Secret Life Of Pets,’ ‘Ice Age: The Meltdown,’ ‘The Good Dinasour,’ ‘An American Tale,’ ‘The Land Before Time,’ etc… also in a few live action movies such as: ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ & Paddington 2.’ Just the noise and the sounds of the bubbles underwater as the characters hold their breath and swim up to the surface. The only expressions they give is with their eyes, it feels like an orgasm to me, I’m in the process of making an album, I have the songs and the cover planed out, the album cover consists of a shot from the side of the pool, and it shows me, floating in the darkness of this big pool in which it’s edited to look like an ocean, at the top of the album cover, it shows a dark figure, swimming downwards with his hand out to reach me. (Think of the underwater scene from, 101 Dalmatians Street) Also for the inside artwork and the back cover, I want to recreate this shot in ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2.’ (13:29)
