Now, this is beyond cool! No flashy stuff, rooms even got sunlight... Must be a great place to work at. Thanks, Andrew! 🙋🏼‍♂️

The flow of that house, the idea of those cabinets is an excellent aesthetic within the A room. That couch gives me a vintage studio vibe. Just awesome. Dedicating an entire house to a recording studio is definitely the dream for most of us. Add the gobos on wheels but other wise... THOMAS YOU'VE NAILED IT.

Hey Andrew, been watching for awhile, thanks for all the reveals of studios. But HOW on earth are there so many amazingly incredible studios in Nashville? This studio echos my studio, kind of new, open, minimalist and airy.

Dude, I am so glad that you asked bout the rugs. As soon as I saw them, I was like: "I wonder if they might mention the rugs?"... I was looking around on Amazon earlier for that very reason. However, I don't think I will budget $1200 for a rug in my apartment.

Andrew, idea for Studio Time (or this channel). Discuss your thought process for Toms & Snare selection when you listen to a song for a recording. Then - equally as important - the tuning of the Snare, Toms and Kick. As a producer myself and mix engineer for others, the tuning part is something I feel that is often overlooked by clients 😅 But when your song is in E, but the Toms are tuned to a different key, and snare is also a different key…

What a beautiful space. I'd end up having a missing persons report filed on me if I had this. Also showing love for NI Studio Drummer. It's my go to when I need acoustic drums and I'm not recording a real drummer. It's a fantastic piece of software but seemingly never comes up in the conversation surrounding drum plugins.

Being a drummer, I may have thought having a mixed drum set was weird in my earlier years of playing. Now, not so much; I am more of the mindset, whatever it takes to get the sound you are looking for. #norules #haveanimagination Funny enough because as I think back, I used to mesh different speakers together and build these Frankenstein towers for makeshift monitors, playback, or for my guitarist's amps. The thought of limitations or sticking to some traditional way of doing anything was never a thought in my mind. It's fun to try different stuff out to see what if.

My separate garage is a converted studio/practice space a little smaller than his main room. I’ve been thinking about taking the ceiling up to the roof, but I’m not sure how this would affect the acoustics. Keeping in mind that I track (incl an acoustic kit), produce, and mix in that space, is it better to have a flat ceiling or angled?

Hey Andrew😊 I’m almost to the point where I’m going to buy my first pair of monitors and a really good vocal mic. How would you go about choosing them? I live in NYC, so I could try some out at B&H to try some out, but the environment there is not really ideal for listening.

I've been playing bass since 1968 and I have been in the Capitol Records studios A B C, and many others but none as great as this. Stock the refrigerator with food and refresh ments, Because I would be recording three songs everyday, I will be wearing the same clothes for about two or days is what happens to me when I'm heavily involved on a hot new song and then I'll shower and change my clothes. If I get an idea for an original song I always play it right away or I will forget how the song goes. "Sorry ladies but it's called sweat equity."

Those Adam A77Hs are too close in Listening Distance and need to be on stands behind the desk. The minimum Listening Distance for those larger Adams is 4'-6" from the acoustic axis to the Listening Position. But... looks like they are only on the desk because the desk moves up and down. Still, not a good enough reason to shorten the Listening Distance.
