I love the sound of a vario. Reminds me of the Clangers! [The Clangers was an old (1969) BBC TV programme made for kids from the age of 3 up to 103. The little dudes only spoke in tuneful, vario-like whistles. I don't imagine the show ever made it to Australia or the USA, but it was gentle, imaginative, delightful, silly, and occasionally sublime entertainment for children who had no mobile phones and no interest in stabbing people with the non-existent illegal knives they'd obtained from the non-existent internet.]

I have used Frsky vario units on FPV gliders for years. Once you soar a glider FPV via a audio vario, your hooked. I enjoy seeing how long, how high, and how far I can fly using the fewest amps. My current record is 1:37, 2700ft, 4mi, 800ma 3s. The R9 series 900mghz receivers have S Port input. They are my current long range setup. I have gotten 3 miles with telemetry. Basically a noob, although more like Rip Van Winkle! (been away for 20). Just ordered this and hope I didn't make a mistake. Plan on using it with a RadioMaster TX16s in a Volantrex ASW-28. Seems 6ch should work if I use a Y-connector for the flaps, leaving motor, rud, elev, and l/r ailerons. I suppose I'll see. lol Thanks for the time and effort you have put into this. A year later and it still helps people.
@AndrewNewton4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. You did make a mistake I'm afraid.....there is no "r" in Volantex. But the receiver should work well for you. Note that there are 3 possible firmware version ACCST, ACCST D16 and ACCESS. Please be assured that I mean no disrespect in asking, and I'm not trying to be snide or funny; I'm genuinely interested. Perhaps it's not a problem nowadays because the 'Alice' books are less mainstream than they once were, and your deliberate inclusion of the 'W' and 'J' of your two middle names makes it clear that you're not trying to pull anyone's leg. But... how many people will recall that Dodgson's famous pseudonym HAD no middle initials? :-)

Hello. I bought ARCHER GR6 receiver. I applied a voltage of 2.14 V to the AIN2 input and on the telemetry of my TX TARANIS X9D + 2019 I read a voltage of 8.8 V under A2. If I apply a voltage of 2.26 V, I read in the A2 telemetry a voltage of 9.3 V. If I apply a voltage of 2.48 V, I read in the A2 telemetry a voltage of 10.2 V. I cannot understand how it works the telemetry output A2. I would like to measure the cell 1 voltage of a 2S lipo pack.
