Well explained #1 Mine arrived today 6 weeks earlier that they said and it is a Christmas present from my wife. I also had delivered a 4” fpv monitor for $40 delivered & Hk had their Cyclops FPV on sale for $45, do i am all set for FPV with the Razor, thanks to you. A big help indeed. I may take it to Tassie on Sunday if i get to fly prior. Very grateful Andrew!

So I just completed my first two flights of my razor. My initial thoughts are, it is a little anemic and the prop pitch could probably go up a little bit. With 40% Expo, triple rates set at 75 50 and 35 even 75 was a little unresponsive. I guess I'll bring my expo back to 20

Thanks for the full SP on the set-up and all the relevant beepity-beeps Andrew. :-) The low battery RTH is a useful update but a bit odd they went with XT60 rather than XT30 and the solid and flashing green led pattern reversed from the Kopilot usage? ;-) With my clapped out fingers I use an in-line switch adapter for setting up - saves a lot of blue air! :D

Re: Propeller Balance. The folding prop on my Phoenix 2000 is the same. I have just turned around one of the screws. It is now running smoother than ever! Thanks for the tip Andrew. What were they thinking with the 2 screws facing in the same direction anyway? Because one hole is bigger than the other, I had to glue in a bamboo skewer and then drill it to make the hole smaller.

NEVER plug 3s battery - ignore the writing that ESC supports 2s-4s. The foam around a mount plate is very weak - so your motor will just break through it and fly away (with good chances to "meet" your head).

It was. attempted to enter the level calibration, it worked. My setup: Razor FPV, QX7 2.2.3 (ae5ac05b) , L9R (no flashes), PWM, MODE 2,

Forgive the newb question Andrew. What sort of 2s Lipo battery suits this model, is this right? HG 7.4V 4500mAh 30C 2S Lipo Battery. There are a lot of different descriptions for 2S Lipo's 25C, 30C, 45C etc. Please help
@AndrewNewton3 жыл бұрын
Too big and heavy. Something like a 2S 1300 is more suitable, or 2 x 18650. Only need the higher C rating batteries for high current needs, like quads or fast planes. They deliver more current before the voltage drops.

@@AndrewNewton thanks andrew, your vids and dialogue with us punters is very much appreciated. I have one more for you, should I get the Flysky FSi6 or Jumper T-Lite for a first Tx(to pair with the Eachine Razor)?

Andrew, One thing confuses me and that is the 100% rates needed for the control board is it the case that once this is programmed into the stabiliser lower rates be imputed so that in manual mode the movement is less aggressive or am I missing something. It’s a very steep learning curve for me but I’m determined to crack it. I’m using FlySky fs-i6x Oldsurveyor 44
@AndrewNewton3 жыл бұрын
Need 100% for setup using stick commands, but not for flying. But with fully configurable boards it's best to do the rates and expo in the board configuration and not the transmitter. Otherwise you will end up with inconsistent trims in different modes

How did you connect your Flysky receiver to the Razor flight controller? Did you use PPM? Where did you plug that into the fight controller?
@michaelwheatland45653 жыл бұрын
@@subzero674 connect with the supplied 3 way lead supplied with the Kopilot , four pin connector inserted horizontally across the signal pins on the reciever the 3 pin plug inserted horizontally into channel 5, signal wire to the top this provides power to the Kopilot and this is also the command channel giving you return to home, stabilised mode and finally manual mode. You need to assign a 3 position switch to channel 5. The other end is connected to the Kopilot be careful withe connection the pins are offset so make sure you align correctly. The Kopilot diagrams actually illustrate these functions fairly well so there worth studying. Hope this helps.

Hi Andrew, I've got this one in the RTF version. I thank you in advance for your help. Kind regards Brian. P.S I'm a complete novice at this game, any help much appreciated.

I dont know, but if you search the Razor thread on RCGroups for "protocol" I'm sure you will find it. Might be best to buy a radiomaster receiver anyway.

" and this "Great video, but just one thing... you said Kopilot is not compatible with iBUS, but actually it can be. The FS-IA6B works on both PWM and SBUS (recommended). Connect it to the IBUS pins, and then set the Tx to talk sBUS and it will work fine. The FS-IA6B runs both IBUS and SBUS, depending on what the FlySky Tx is set on (sBUS or iBUS).
