Very nice! I installed lots of lights on a wing, and when I plugged it in I over-amped the balance port and burned myself. This seems like a better option.

"You need to rev the motor up to get the stabilization to work." Another 1 of those little omissions from the manual that cause untold hairpulling among us mentally challenged types! ;-) Add to that 1 of the magnets at the front of the body for the camera covers was not glued in. No prob. Stick it in its carbon fiber mounting hole with SupaGlue - then realise it's upside down! Easiest to punch the matching one out of the camera covers. At least now I wont be trying to fit them upside down! :D

Andrew: Do you still own & fly this plane? What do you think of it after 18 months? I'm thinking there are potentially several diverse areas where this plane might shine: 1) Of course, night flying, even for search & rescue. 2) Long distance (have you done any testing? Flight times? What is your flying weight? With Li Ion batteries?) 3) Slope flying? How does it perform compared to your favorite Bixler 1.1? Other comments on configuration after 18 months? Beautiful time exposure with light streaks in night sky! Thanks. Nice job. I want one. Jim

Dear Andrew Neawton, I'm grateful for your success zohd orbit neon flight..I'm reluctant to ask is it possible if I ask a kinda off tutorial video on how to fly full acro with stick cam view as well as the video of the said wing in view (while flying). Im currently learning to take off n landing n fly arounf but only on launch mode(blue light on).i've tried the full manual but kindof easily loose orientation.
@AndrewNewton5 жыл бұрын
Orientation is the toughest lesson for FPV trained pilots. Just takes lots of practice. Dont know if the stick view would help much. The movements are so small. I'll try it anyway.
@iknowlaa5 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewNewton , correction on the previous request...lol, what i meant was not the tutorial, I want to have a mental idea of the theory & normal stick cam movement on how to bank n yank..i guess..i hope i got the right word this time. fpv would not be a problem i suppose, this is for line of sight.

One of my friends is having issues with his Night Radian. We are figuring the LEDs are causing radio interference at extended ranges. It's caused him to crash a few times. Did you happen to see if these light cables are shielded on the Orbit?
@AndrewNewton5 жыл бұрын
Not shielded as far as I can determine Steve
@stevietee105 жыл бұрын
Static, solidly lit, LED's run on DC therefore there should be no electrical interference. If intensity was altered by PWM switching then you might have an issue.

I've been night flying for years, and this one has a pretty good light setup for orientation. Can you put your watt meter on there? I'm curious about how much current those LEDs pull, particularly the headlight, thanks!
