From what I've heard in interviews over the years, they actually erased one of Tommy's bass drum tracks to add another Ozzy vocal track.......

That was the tour I saw with Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil opening. I was in Jax FL for that one - the church groups had the colliseum in Jacksonville staked out. Reminded me of those old paintings of witch hunts. Tommy's drum set dropped down as the balcony split for his solo with the lights surrounding his kit and sometimes looked like he was playing from inside a diamond with the lights simulating the facets. I like his work with Pat Travers as well - quite a journeyman.

Yeah I saw the show with Randy then this one and Ultimate Sin. First saw Tommy on the Travers / Heat in the Street tour, was completely blown away.

Lee kerslake played drums on blizard of oz and diary of a madman. Tommy did the early tours. Kerslake and bob daisly (bass) got "sharon'd" out of these albums, as all their parts were rerecorded with other musicians in early 2000s

They went back to the original tracks after people complained, and maybe it was part of the lawsuit Daisley and Kerslake had.

I always enjoy watching the Black Sabbath and Ozzy reaction videos. Recently on KZbin I came across an older track, I had no idea existed. You should check out from Bill Ward's solo album, Ward One: Along the Way, the track, "Bombers (Can Open Bomb Bays)" featuring Ozzy on vocals. It came out in 1990 but it sure has more of an 80's vibe, especially the MTV video. Bill Ward's drumming of course is on point, as always.

Dear Andrew. I have a very bad feeling that Ozzy is not long for this world. Your idea to frame that record album and T-shirt he sent you is a good one. Do justice to it and honour him. Black Sabbath changed my life and I am forever grateful. Thank You for sharing your knowledge and insight with us, Andrew. You are a learned Man and you have, at times, reminded me of why I play. I will now crank Lord Of This World from the Master Of Reality album to 1,200 watts per side and my neighbors can knock at my door as loud as they can, I will not hear them. 😢

This is one of my all time fave Ozzy tracks. Actually, this whole album ruled. Jake E Lee got unfairly shit upon because he was *not* Randy Rhodes. Maybe doesn't have the classical flair that Randy had, but he was still an absolute best player for Ozzy. Also had some killer tracks on The Ultimate Sin album as well!

He also had most of, if not all of his writing credits taken away. To the point he once said in response to the question whats the biggest rumor you've heard about yourself, he said "That I wrote Bark at the Moon"

You or 100% correct Sharon Osbourne cheated him out of all of his writing credits. Ozzy was in rehab when they wrote this album ( for what little good it did). I wish there was someway. Jake could go back and sue them to get some money back.

Hey mate, I was just watching some of your older videos, Primus in particular but thought I would put this comment on a current video, instead of 3 years old. Your comment on Primus being such a proficient 3 piece band made me think of the band Nuclear Power Trio. Dunno if you have heard of them, they are an instrumental band. As far as I am aware, no-one knows who they are as they wear Kim Jong Un, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin masks while they play (hence the band name). They are all incredible musicians and I think you would really enjoy them. I'm not a musician, just going by what I hear as a non-muso, I would recommend 'Grab Em By The Pyongyang' probably.

I love ozzy, but he wasn’t at his best here so let’s be honest here. He was drunk and high for most of the time which you can hear in his voice during this performance. At the release of no more tears he did the no more tours tour with Randy Castillo, Mike Inez and Zakk Wylde. It’s 7ish years later this tour but you can hear how healthy, energetic and most importantly the fun Ozzy is having with the crowd and his band. It’s one of my most favorite live album of all times!!! Try Bark at the moon from that double live EP ( Live&Loud ) or the best song off the love album Mister Crowley. And I am Dutch so hail the almighty Focus!!

some of these comments (not all) are so off I had to do this. So this is the real lowdown around this time in Ozzy's band as far as the drummers go. Tommy Aldridge played drums on the album Bark At The Moon (1983). Then Tommy and Ozzy had a falling out after the recording was finished. Ozzy hired Carmine Appice for the video shoot of the Bark At The Moon song and the planned tour. Carmine did the video and several shows for the tour, and then Carmine had a falling out with Ozzy, and Ozzy brought Tommy Aldridge back to finish the Bark At The Moon Tour. Tommy was with Ozzy after that as late as the Rock In Rio Concert (1985). Then Tommy either left or was fired depending on which side tells the story, and he started the "Project Driver" with Rudy Sarzo on bass and Tony MacAlpine on Guitar. They eventually released an album in '86 that really went nowhere. Ozzy then hired Randy Castillo after Tommy was gone in 85ish, and Randy Castillo was Ozzy's drummer from around 85ish through the No More Tears album and ensuing tour in 1992. Ozzy said he was retiring, but (of course) he came back, and Randy did work with Ozzy after that, though not really permanently. Ozzy went through a number of drummers after Randy's departure including Deen Castronovo (played drums on the Ozzmosis album in '95), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), and eventually Tommy Clufetos. It's a tangled web, but that's pretty much it. P.S. - Castronovo (to my knowledge) didn't even make it past the recording sessions of Ozzmosis. I remember Ozzy's camp releasing a strongly worded negative press release about Deen's departure after the Ozzmosis album was released in '95. They actually brought Randy Castillo in to shoot the video for the Perry Mason song from the Ozzmosis album even though Randy didn't play a note on the Ozzmosis album. I don't know if Randy ever toured with Ozzy on the "Retirement Sucks" tour in 1995/96 after the Ozzmosis album was released. I lost interest in Ozzy around that time. The 90's just weren't much fun.
