A review and discussion of important points from Christopher Hitchen's Letters to a Young Contrarian. This is especially a good book for those who have dissident views and would like guidance in living with then.

Truther was a ridicule for the people who questioned the 9/11 bombings I believe. I could be wrong. Great video. I really like the idea of not being anti, and presenting a solution. Talked to a friend about this about it being useless to just talk about issues in a negative light and presented Elon Musk as an example. He wants to get rid of gas usage and make the human race interplanetary. Instead of protesting for less gas usage and a better NASA budget he started Space X and Tesla . Although it doesn't have to be at this scale, at least present a solution even if it might be just an idea. The gauntlet as well is extremely important. I find my ideas align more accurately with reality because I don't mind the cirtisizm that comes with having a different viewpoint. Still have a long way to go, but arguments can be useful. They help point out the holes in your views. Thanks for the video. I am in the process of creating my platform to talk about certain things and I was wondering how I was going to approach voicing views which are not-so conventional.

Also, didn't think about the poles before. Tai Lopez talks about thesis, antithesis, and synthesis. But if the poles are improperly placed, then synthesis would not be a solution. Hmmm, that's definitely something to think about.

Brian Driscoll Thanks for the comments. I know Hegel is the father of thesis, antithesis, synthesis. He thought history proceeds in dichotomies that should be resolved via synthesis, eventually creating a new dichotomy, etc.. On voicing views, I don't know if you meant on youtube, but just be prepared to alienate some people. I don't know if you've seen my 'well-read on booktube' video but it is no wonder that YT and Booktube popularists painstakingly try to remove controversy so as to alienate no one. So it depends why you make videos, is it subscribers or is it for your own interests? I apply a very minimal filter, but some apply a very large one (or they may just be that bland and void of personal views...).

***** Eventually I'll let the filter down more and more. I think of all the people in the past that made meaningful waves, and time and time again -- Giordano Bruno, Galileo, and to an extent Hemingway, they had opinions and work that didn't present itself as perfecty neutral to the public. But thanks for the information and advice. helps put it in perspective.
