This painting for sure looks like one of the Old Masters. I think it's the colors, of course it may be the technique . I do some painted in oils, but I don't feel like I qualify to be called an artist. Just not that talented😢.... love love love your work. As an alternative to lead white, would adding a wee bit of yellow ochre and/or some chalk help tap down some of titanium white's opacity and punchiness? I've used lead white in the past and loved it, but just can't really use it when my studio is my bedroom, haha. Definitely need to pick up some transparent yellow/red oxide, as well - looks really useful. This is an awesome video, Andrew! Thanks so much for sharing.

This is a great tutorial and I really wished I watched this a week before, before I started my still life home work! I would have picked up lots of good techniques.
