I’ve used a Yamamoto Double Tail a lot. Mainly on a jig. Haven’t used it much on a vibrating jig. I love creeping one slow on the bottom. The menace rigged vertically is my go to trailer. Just started using it last year and won't go back. Also I've been fishing out to 12ft with a vibrating jig and switched to a 6.3:1 gear ratio to slow me down just to keep it down. No question is too basic. That’s why I’m here! So, for a bluegill colored Thunder Cricket I like to use either Blue Craw or Watermelon Red Menace. I’ve caught a lot with a Rage Swimmer/Keitech, but for some reason I catch them better with a skinny dipper type trailer. To me, it has better action. I feel the larger tail keitech style swimbaits really work against the “chatter” of the bait. When fish are really shallow, I tend to use a more steady retrieve, with the occasional pop of the rod. When I’m fishing deeper it just depends on the fishes mood. Some times I yoyo it, while others ill fish it really slow near the bottom. Almost worm fishing it. I try quite a few retrieves when I’m out there and once I get a bite I kind of just roll with it.
