Bah humbug 😂 totally get it get rid . Vobster quay 7hr drive for me to far for me . Looks good like the tunnel and helicopter. Strobes did look cool when the two divers where together in the video but that would start to get annoying and would affect the eyes to adjust to the dark . Great vid as always Andy 👍

Did the end of my Dive Leader training there, great facilities.

Great place and such professional staff - things went awry for another group whilst I was there and their response time was very impressive. Managed the situation extremely well.

That’s great to hear! To be fair, I think all the inland sites are excellent when the 💩 hits the fan. Seen excellent responses from the teams at both Capernwray and Stoney 😎

If you come down during Winter and you want a CCR guided tour, give me a shout, our group dive there every Saturday when we’re not at the coast or blown out.

Used to dive there fairly regular, always cold but always friendly, nice burger van (hi Cecily 🙋♂️). The viz is generally better, i think since they closed NDAC, more training cources are happening at Stoney Cove and Vobster which kicks up sediment ( yes BSAC you are supposed to stay off the bottom😂) Frome is a nice place also (great fish n chips) next time do a weekend in the local travelodge (best in winter) safe parking can get a room on ground floor.

It’s a no from me on the flashy lights. Would drive me nuts diving with that 😅. But likewise, I dove vobster for the first time recently and what a great place!

Thanks for the feedback on the strobes. I’m still on the fence… Yep, deffo impressed with the place! As a young chap once said in a funny accent… “I’ll be back!!”

Hate the strobe! Very distracting. They're worth carrying, but only worth turning on when needed. On film, I think they only look good from a distance; those wide shots of a diver above a wreck in relatively clear water. I'd agree that the viz looks relatively poor for Vobster - my tip would be to go midweek if you can. Vobster is my local (2 hours from South Wales) inland site since NDAC closed, so I'm often there when conditions aren't great for West Wales or the South coast. We often find that the Viz is great on the first dive early on a Saturday morning, but by the time we get in for dive two the viz has been stirred up particularly around popular sites. There are just so many more people there on a weekend, particularly dive school groups.
