I’m a software developer and have used up to 3 24” monitors for my setup. I decided to try this 49” - wow! One usb-c cable now instead of 7 cables and a power strip. I loved it so much I decided to try stacking another 49”! I absolutely love it and do not plan going back onsite to work. One draw back, the color accuracy isn’t as good as Dell’s 49” even though it’s the same screen. You’ll need to calibrate it and adjust the display settings. I use a 2017 and 2018 MacBook Pro within the usb-c port with no problems. Highly recommended if you use two or more monitors.

Watching your vid on the Samsung CRG9 49inch 120Hz monitor at 2160P, That LG looks pretty good though, I bought CRG9 just for the gaming experience, Playing games on a super ultra wide monitor takes a little getting used to you just have to set the FOV on many of the latest games but so far running simulations like X plane 11 is an immersive experience and very enjoyable, Games like Squad and Hell let loose gives you a tactical advantage because you see around corners better and you have more real estate on screen than traditional screens. The only set back for anyone considering one of these monitors is the price...at $2,400 here in australia that could be too far for many but for me personally it is worth every penny, Iv`e up graded from an LG 4k tv running through an HDMI to my 1080 Ti so running this monitor via DP and at 120Hz is a big jump in frames for me.

The most real review I've seen so far. I'm a dual monitor guy who is wanting to upgrade to an ultra wide curved monitor for finance/data analytics. I don't care about all the fancy tech because I'm not focusing on editing videos. But I do need to have crisp monitor to view lots of data in spreadsheets. For those analytic/coders out there...do you use an ultra wide monitor? If so, how do you like it and what size are you using? I need at the very minimum to be able to split the screen into 2 but prefer 3 so I can compare all of my spreadsheets and coding I do. For home I use a MacBook pro but for work I use a dell laptop. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. And oh yeah, if LG wants me to test it out for this reason, feel free to shoot me a message!

I really like the superultrawide format, I wonder if besides the 21:9 or this 32:9 it would be possible to have other ratios. For instance I feel that a 24:9 wide as this one would provide more vertical space without being extremely tall. That would be a great ratio in my opinion.

does the power toys free software (to custom-split your screen into segments of your preference) work with mac too? Does the 1440 vertical resolution make the image look subpar in quality? How does the image compare to a macbook pro 15" display? Do the blacks look "washed out" (in relation to what they do on the MBP)? I read that for HDR video editing we should be looking into monitors with 1000 brightness level, but this only gives 350.. Does this mean it's not very bright? Will a wireless keyboard and mouse/magic trackpad be responsive fast enough? (It sounds very daunting to have the macbook pro in front of you and control mouse and keyboard on it while viewing things on a screen other than the MBP's which is right in front of you anyway if you use this monitor as a 2nd display to your macbook pro...) - but I am worried that if I use an external keyboard and mouse/trackpad, then there will be a noticeable delay). Is the 60HZ refresh rate a problem when video editing in Final Cut (or 3D rendering in it via the mO2 plugin for Final Cut or for Motion X)? I hope you can answer my questions! :)

@DidierWolfs4 жыл бұрын
@@finitesound do you use it also for productivity ? if so, what do you think about the curve for that purpose ?
@finitesound4 жыл бұрын
@@DidierWolfs I do! It's amazing for video and audio work, as you have a ton of timeline real estate. People say the curve isn't great for graphic design where you might need a perfectly flat line. But personally I always edit with a grid so that's never been am issue for me. I find this monitor to be more productive than a triple monitor setup in most cases, since you have nearly the same real estate without the clunky bezels in the way. The crg9 is a large improvement over the chg9. The extra pixel count really helps the horizontal plane feel less cramped. 1080 just isn't enough, and works against the otherwise large panel. 1440 is a pretty good balance.
@DidierWolfs4 жыл бұрын
@@finitesound Thanks for your comment. Hopefully, in the future, they will continue to improve the resolution to get more than 5120 x 1440. My use will be mainly work (long excel, replenishment softwares, etc and a bit of music production and video editing. I've had a hard time to get feedback on which curve for office work, since these 1800R screens are more used for gaming. But i've read and talked with people that told me that this curve is nice for office working. I guess, it also depends on how far away our head is from the monitor (1 meter in my case)

With the KVM I can sync Video, USB Ports and Audio Ports that way I can work on either computer and be able to enjoy the same gear (wireless Keyboard, Wireless Touch Pad and wired speakers) on both computers one at a time. I have PS4 PRO and XBOX ONE X..In the future I will also buy a powerful PC but for now I am willing to use it with my consoles but I have read that it is only for PC and for games in 32: 9. Okey I agree, but I saw in every video review on this Monitor that the PC games reviewed were The Division 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and some in first person. What it means? I'm not a PC expert, but it means that PCs have a graphics card that transforms The Division 2 into 32: 9 for Samung LC49RG94SSUXZG OR LG LG49wl95c ????? Or that UBISFOT has created The Division 2 in 32: 9 ONLY FOR PC POSSESSORS? Sounds too weird can you help me? Because I found a person on youtube who tested it for months on the consoles and in the end as you can see from these links by removing some options and inserting others on ps4 and xbox one x and managed more or less to make it I don't say perfect but good. Always in 32: 9 because it is a format that I love. I have also seen that it could be reduced a little from the console to narrow the view and not even this as an option. My question always remains the same, The division is in 32: 9? Does it transform thanks to the PC card? Or is it Ubisoft that created it in 32: 9 as an option for PC owners? Thank you so much for your time and I apologize to the PC owners because I have the consoles and maybe they won't answer me but one day I will also have a PC.
