I had the LG 37” Ultrawide prior. Bought this today for $1K from B&H. It doesn’t curve as much as I wanted it to. I also will have to adapt to the long distance from edge to edge. I can’t see way down to the corner so I’m stacking windows on top of one another. I’m holding on to the box because this may not be for me after all.

I've been thinking about making a move to ultra wide for quite some time. I also use DaVinci Resolve (occasionally) and am not a 'gamer' per se, so the 60Hz would not bother me. My current set is two 4K monitors (both from LG being fond of their products) side by side with the same obvious center bezel issue. I would love to have an ultra wide monitor but one thing hold me back are: (1) resolution and (2) frame size. to have the equivalent of my existing 4K x2, I would technically need an 8K ultra-wide (to get 3180 x 2160 x 2) which just dont' exist. That means, settling for the 2560 x 1440 x2 for the interim in terms of what is currently available. The other issue that bothers me a bit is the short vertical. I reckon if an 8K x 4K ultra wide ever become reality, that will be the killer device. Thanks for your introduction of this unit and sharing your thoughts. I may still consider to spring for this model anyway. Also having a USB-C port I presume this can be connected to a PC by simply connecting with a slender and light USB-C to C cable. Cheers. This is just about the only two 32:9 monitor that has IPS LCD screen panel with the other one being a Dell U4919DW. However, at $2,000 of which this monitor is currently selling in my country via Harvey Norman, I'd expect to have at least 90Hz refresh rate.

Currently have the M1 Mac mini, I haven’t experienced any issues with it. I’m waiting for the M1 MacBook Pro max. We’ll see if I have any problems with that one.

@@FlashForwardmg Are you using the LG 49WL95C-W connected to the M1 Mac mini via USB-C (Thunderbolt) or HDMI? If you're using USB-C, is it @ 60 Hz? Asking because I connected a 27-inch 4K monitor to a 2020 Intel MacBook Pro and the max refresh possible was 30 Hz, giving me a headache within a short period of time.

I actually got the Caldigit adaptor and connect via display port at 60hz, the usb C connection is the same.

Hey Flash! Were you able to use the USB Hub at the back perfectly fine when you only have your Mac connected? I've been hearing issues from the guys who own the Dell version of this panel (called the U4919DW). Also, were you able to get something like a split screen working from just your macbook alone? I ask this because its nice to watch youtube full screen on half of the screen while working on the other side. Nice video man!

Well this one doesn't really have a super aggressive curve so I guess viewing each corner is a bit difficult. It would require a slight head turn

This monitor is on sale (not cheap, but alot less than it was) for $900 USD. It's perfect for my use I think (I am software developer and rarely play games). There is a new 144Hz display (the L in part number is replaced with a Q) but not worth it for my uses.

Thanks for your review! I was considering this screen. But not being able to watch anything full screen without the black bars on the sides is a dealbreaker for me. I hope that in the future this will be fixed by either LG themselves or KZbin (and other apps) recognizing that these big screens exist.

The issue is most cameras shoot in a 16:9 ratio, which is what normal monitors fit, so until that changes this is going to be what we deal with
