2:40-4:05 Google Wallet is said to be released with Android 13 which can scan and store virtual IDs, Bank Cards, Plane Tickets, etc. Google has had a "legacy feature" for years now. I admit that it isn't as good and deeply integrated as the IOS feature but, when Google detects that something has happened to you or that your account has been inactive for 9 months then it will send all of the user's Google data to the selected contacts' email. It isn't as simple as entering a passcode but nevertheless both platforms have the legacy feature.

Exactly! It's infuriating how these reviewers still don't make that distinction. Pixel UI is not stock android. I think people are just blinded by this stock android thing. We can already disable notifications on apps, and seeing this dialog won't give me any clue about whether I should allow it or not, because I don't know the nature of the notifications of the app. Some might be of errors or even a long important task. When the notification isn't granted, it won't show any information about those missing notifications, ever.

I wonder why OEMs don't, from the beginning, consult critics and reviewers for features to be introduced in their upcoming major updates. Or even better, a forum to ask consumers what they would love in an update. After they had developed whatever crap forced on us, though some turn out to be good, that's when they bring them in. Great video as always, but honestly all it did was reinforce my opinion that Android and iOS have MUCH more similarities than differences nowadays. The unique features on each OS are "nice to haves", but nothing major, IMHO, and you can bet sooner or later Google and Apple will create their own versions of them. Also, just a few quick notes, Android DOES have a focus mode, at least in the Pixel phones as of Android 12. More importantly, you CAN decide what happens to your Google account if something happens to you. It's in the "Data & Privacy" section of your Google account options. On Android you can access it through the settings, but you can also do this on the web through any browser. The AirTag stuff is Apple trying to solve a problem they themselves created. They released an app on the Play Store, so Android users can also detect random tags, but it's just not enough, IMO. Google, Apple and other major OEMs and platform providers like Samsung, Amazon and Microsoft have to cooperate and create a universal, OS-level protection against stalking.

Digital licenses and IDs, and vaccination records were available in my country in Singapore since 2020, the same year that Covid hit - even prior to Android 13. So I guess that's more of a policy thing than an Android thing, depending on region. So it's safe to say the previous Android frameworks already supported such functionality - just that it's not implemented by default. Different regions just uphold different values and varying priorities, thus, experiences may differ.
