In Developer Options all the way at the bottom there is a "Force activities to be resizable" this is EXTREMELY useful. Some apps do not support split screen, with this setting on they now do.

Is there an option to see the battery percentage while in battery saver mode? It showed in Marshmallow, but now the percentage gets replaced with a plus symbol while in battery saver mode on Nougat.

On the Nexus 6p you can enter split screen mode by tapping and holding the square icon and also turn it off by doing the same thing.

Any ideas how to turn off the Enable Split Screen swipe up gesture in Android 7.1.1? I followed your steps and everything is identical except, of course, the one thing I needed which was to turn off split screen mode. I have accidentally turned it on a couple times, not knowing how I did it or how to turn it off, and it is super annoying. My phone is small enough as it is, making the app I want to work with half the size is impossible.

Jayen Mistry you can't. these features are only available for stock android devices,like the Google pixel. Anything Samsung, HTC, Huawei, LG, Alcatel, etc cannot do this because they have their own user interface layered over Android.
