Moved from my note 4 to note 5 a week ago. Best device I have ever held in my hand. Way better made, very solid, very fast, smaller. I was always advocating for the removable battery and the SD card until I realized that I had already changed 4 generations of Samsung and never used any of these two features. It's your perfect everyday business device with a sleeker design and better build quality. The best phone around, period.

awesome phone I've had it 3 weeks. super fast. On power save mode I'm always getting 7 1/2 hours on screen. I'm a really heavy user. battery charges very quickly and surprises me everything how quick it charges and what an excellent camera. Traded in my G4 and never looked back

That to me is the best phone ever....hopefully the Note 6 will be close to that....till then I'll hold onto my Note 4 that's > than the Note 5.

I went from the Samsung Galaxy S3, to the Note 3, to this Note 5 last week and im highly impressed. I had heard there was a Dishwash Assist feature, but am so "disappointed" when I heard that's only included in the iPhone 6 18 and under version. I digress though. A what exactly were you expecting man on the video? My camera sucked holy shit holes on the Note 3, the 5 is gorgeous, it's not my Nikon, but I could lie and say it was. My fast charging is going well, and I'm a SAHM, I'm on my 5 literally all the day long. I love the feel of it, it's Hella fast, no lag at ALL. Why didn't you mention the Quad core Exynos 7420 octa-core processor? Do you guys have an opening? I have time. I guess Nasa could of given us controls to the ISS, but I'm sure they're saying that for the 10yr anniversary! Dauuum, talk about a hard core review. BTW, the white color is key. Although there is the omission of the expandable storage, IR blaster, and removable back, I still see the Note 5 as an excellent powerhouse. It is still a performace champ especially consdering UFS 2.0 and 4gb DDR4 RAM and the best camera in today's generation. People should stop thinking about what is missing but rather focus on what this offers. The moment I tried it on stores made me convinced to get this. You should really consider trying it out too.

To everyone who thinks the Note 5 isn't an upgrade or a "downgrade" have you even used it in person? It's an excellent phone. I tried it out at the Samsung booth in Best Buy and fell in love with it. I've never been interested in the Note series before. I own the LG G2 and have never needed to replace the battery and 32gb is more then enough for me even with the software taking up 8gb. Samsung has won me over this year, I'll be upgrading to it in the near future!

well touchwiz u could root it and flash another ROM, well.. i don't use fingerprint sensor on my phone. The lack of SD card and removable storage PLUS the not so good battery life killed the N5. N4 also has fast charging.

+MrJuliusJun battery life is just better managed by N5.. it gets 30 min to 1 hour more than N4.. N5 faster than the N4 fast charge. SDcard slows down phone and not compatible with UFS 2.0 which makes the phone MUCH faster. of course you should not upgrade from N4 since its not worth paying 700 dollar again after 1 year, you should keep the phone for 2 years at least.. while its worth from N3..

"Fall in love with it" till you soon run out of memory! This phone should be 128gb standard since they removed the SD card support .I've already filled the SD card on my NOTE 4 and need a 128gb. Remember whatever version you get you aready loose about 10gb to the OS even before installing anything so a 32gb version gives you only 24gb. Samsung is now making better iPhones!

There's not a lot to impress here. Writing when the screen is "off" (it's really just black) is fine, but I already ahve my Note 4 set up to launch S-Note when I take the pen out, so it wouldn't be much different for me. Samsung Pay would be nice, but I'll stick with Android Pay, rather than downgrading to a phone without expandable storage and a replaceable battery.

I have been a day 1 Note purchaser since the beginning. However I haven't bought the 5 since I was turned off by the lack of expandable memory and removable battery prior to its release. Doing some research I learned about the benefits of Samsungs inclusion of UFS 2.0 and think it is a worthy trade off. One thing that continues to bother me is that the max storage is 64gb. I feel that carriers and Google are trying to push people into using cloud storage but since the major carriers are no longer offering unlimited data, I don't see cloud storage as a strong option. I think its silly for carriers to respond by asking if we have wi-fi at home. If we are limited to usining wi-fi at home then why continue to call these mobile devices. But with that one complaint, I have still changed my point of view on the major changes with the Note 5. I am considering its purchase in the near future. Would really like to see a 128gb model.

The only mention of the topic was when he said that they downloaded many apps and the phone never slowed. What about running many processes at once and then killing them all...the RAM will still be quite high...

I am so bummed out over the lack of expandable memory in the Galaxy Note 5. I had every intention of finally dumping my iPhone for the Galaxy Note 5. I've been playing with a Galaxy Note 4 that belongs to my sister-in-law and found it to be pretty cool, especially the micro-sd slot, camera, and screen. Now I don't know what I will do. Maybe I will wait until next year when Samsung relocates their sanity and returns the SD-card slot to the Galaxy Note 6.

I had trialed the Note 4 Edge and loved it. Decided to get the Note 5. I figure if I have a portable charger with me that is small attached while I am out and about not using it -- fast charger at home and I am a power user of dropbox (which is free) then I am not going to miss the sd slot. the battery swap -- that is compelling, but if they are not choosing to go ahead with it, then you have aging technology that might well fail on you. Would rather instead lease than purchase since phones change so frequently. At least in the US, you can get pretty great leasing plans and I do not want *buyers remorse* on a $700 plus object. At T-mobile I can lease 3 different phones each year and the price is between $20-$30 per month. Who cares. The price of phones rapidly deteriorate anyway.

I just bought the Samsung galaxy note 5 32gb and I have some bad experiences with this cell phone. It has so many ads that keeps popping up, I did everything to turn them off, nothing works. It still keeps coming back. Also the screen light keeps going on for along time then turns off back and forth. But the pictures are great and everything is great. That’s about it.

Why is the scrolling so bad on android devices? i've had a htc, i've got the samsung s6 edge and on apps like twitter and instagram the scrolling feels absolutely HORRIBLE, it lags behind your finger, i'm not a fanboy but it's much better feeling on the iphone.. i want the nexus 6p and this is the only reason holding me back. it gets ignored on reviews but it's blatant, android was supposedly 'caught up' in that department years back

I'm so sad that the features I wanted from the Note is now gone (I have a Note 4), but if that's what Samsung wants to do, so be it. It looks and perform sexy nonetheless and that it might be a future purchase for me. Also +1 to Josh! DJ OKAWARI!

Loving my note 5 but after 3 weeks the s pen tip popped off and the bottom portion got stuck in the phone. Total bummer because sprint doesn't cover it in the insurance policy. Samsung is sending a new one though thank goodness. 3 days without it has been annoying though!!

There's a 10,000 MAH battery for the note 4. This one is sealed and requires a battery case. My note 3 has been on battery for 12 hours, playing games, using hotspot, checking and sending email, playing music, and having screen on full brightness and I'm only down to 70% and that's only a 6400mah battery.

If you really need to keep more than 64GB on your phone at all times, I think you have a problem. There's no way you have that much IMPORTANT stuff to store on your phone, or if it's that important, it probably shouldn't be on your phone to begin with. Put old photos/videos onto your computer. Don't install 50 games at a time. I think it's fine if you just manage properly.

Guys, the note5 has super smooth animations. Not kidding. Smooth as the iPhone 6. I just went to AT&T. What bugs me is that the 60FPS videos on KZbin doesn't look like 60FPS. It somehow looks like a 60FPS video switching to a 30FPS video over and over again.

This phone works great and looks amazing, but I'm leaving this review for one purpose only. I have gone through phones like tissue paper. Droping them, got them wet, losing them, ect. The Galaxy Note5 however is a VERY durable phone. Without a case, I have dropped it numerous times but recently I got it wet. I went to the river and swam with it in my pocket for 30 MINUTES until i realized it was with me. The crazy part is...IT STILL WORKS!! I am writing this review with it right now! AMAZING 5 OUT OF 5. If you want a durable phone, get a Galaxy. It is the best phone I have ever had, EVER.

Removing Sd card was a good decision after all! Many of the files and pictures on my note 4 are corrupted which were saved on the sd card and is one big reason for slowing down of androids.

Considering I'm on my iPhone 6, I think this is still a great phone. While watching it I noticed I would not mind having one with all the stuff it can do that I can't. I would pry buy the note 4 just for the memory expansion though. I know you can buy the bigger model but that's a lot more. When this iPhone is done with I think I'm going back to android...maybe...
