I had the XL black model, I was worried about battery life and design, but the smaller ones in blue and white ended up looking a lot nicer to me when I saw it in person. One quirky thing that I liked about it looking back was that the fingerprint scanner size is actually larger than the newer pixel models (compared to my P3 and P5). It wasn't faster or anything, but I remember being able to unlock my phone with just the tip or side of my finder.

Only thing missing was audio jack but the 3.5mm to type c converter made up for it. Of course all pixels were left wanting for more in the battery department. I think the design is underrated because it's understated. Clean, minimalistic, the bottom bezel looks fine too, it gives its own style to have a bottom space that is not cluttered, just plain, clean. I still have mine, used it for four years; it did everything I needed it to do. The battery at the end was... as expected, but still tolerable. Unfortunately Bluetooth started malfunctioning, which is one of the problems this phone had (could have been due to a drop as well). Besides that, these phones had problems being super slippery; if you had them in a case their coating still peeled and chipped. Camera was great but many units had edge blur. Apparently there was a revision later which modified back glass shape to fix that. Also, when it came out the immediate issue with it that was noticed by reviewers was camera picking up sun glare. Despite it the issues listed and it not being as flagship as others and packaged with random extra things, I thoroughly enjoyed it; it has served me well as a primary phone and now it works well as a secondary one.

But there was something that stood between the two, the price and the location, the first because it was very expensive and the second was only available for countries like the USA, Canada, some regions of Europe, Japan and Australia, that is, no LATAM country. However, some importers from some LATAM countries brought it, but they were very overvalued, at very high prices, in fact today they still do it and the truth is I am not willing to pay as much where in reality and originally it does not have that price. I fell in love with that phone its simplicity, power, very good camera and the update policy, those were the main reasons I've always wanted Google's Pixel line. 👌🏻📱😍
