Andy is a gem. I took lessons with him for a short while. What a great guy and a great teacher.

I like Mr Aledort a lot. The subject matter he chooses to explain and how he does it is always so articulate and concise. A laconic personality that projects well!

Dude...I've been watching your blues videos...they have been really great...keeping the solos all about note placement and the timeing on when to do your lick...Thanks

When I get to these, I like to listen to the whole thing, sans guitar in hand. Then watch and play. Andy's great! Learning inversions with triads is where it's at. Makes 2 chord vamps way more interesting, and allows for licks in time with the changes!

I came here because zappa did great and mighty things within two chords as a soloist. Thanks for this!

Excellent work Andy. What you are demonstrating is at the heart of expressive music. Your guitar may look like it has been over the road but it has killer mojo, plus it looks nearly new compared to D.B. Bryant's strat. :-)

This is useful for looking at 'Can't Always Get What You Want', which goes from I-IV (C-F) for the most part.

Nice guitar. What scale did you use for your improvisation- minor pentatonic?

I'm sure Andy' is a lot older than me, I'm only 50, but I could never look like this and get away with. Probably lot easier on east coast. Laughin!

vamp1 vamp/ noun 1. the upper front part of a boot or shoe. 2. (in jazz and popular music) a short, simple introductory passage, usually repeated several times until otherwise instructed.
