This is the pinnacle of where freedom and creativity intersect. I skated for 13 years as a kid and still watch videos to this day, this is by far the most impressive individual I have come across. If nothing else, it’s the beauty of practice. He’s talked about doing this since he was a kid, taking lessons, and taking them seriously. It’s just obvious that he’s spent an insane amount of time working on all these skills. He’s not just good because he’s lucky, he worked his ass off and so there’s almost nothing you can throw at him that he doesn’t understand. He can doing something at a new spot on his first try because he’s done so many things like it, and done it so many times. He lives for skating, it couldn’t be more obvious that he loves immensely and spends nearly all his time doing it. He may not be THE BEST but he truly is something special, and the way everyone seems astonished with him says a lot.
