There were certain skaters who took the world by storm in the 90s and early 2000s. Tony Hawk, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Daewon Song and Rodney Mullen, Bob Burnaquist... Andy Anderson is becoming a true skateboard legend in his own right. Andy blends modern, oldschool, and freestyle skateboarding so beautifully and his style is truly unique. Anyways whether he wins a competition or not i think its clear that everyone is just stoked to see him skate. He steals the show even when he messes up some tricks.

Stupidest shit I ever heard, of course he wanted to win, idk how much u have been keeping up with Andy but that guy's been progressing so much lately and started adding only a little bit more of "traditional" sk8ing into his arsenal just to appeal to the judges who only get wet panties for the top 7-8 sk8ers, I'm not going to name them if u know u know.. or example it's like being in the NFL but you're the only one playin by NBA rules so if you want to win better start playing football

@calebhohneke8482 Жыл бұрын
@@wwerty234 I can't say for sure because i'm not Andy, but to me it seems like he doesn't really care if he wins or loses. And it's honestly refreshing to see a talented skater just wing it and go for tricks that most skaters wouldn't go for in comps. Calculated runs that are aced are awesome, but I enjoy watching wild circus runs way more (even with the falls). All that being said, i'm with ya. A 74 is more then fair in terms of how comps are scored.

I don’t know why he initially annoyed me when I first saw him skate, but I love watching him skate now. He interprets stuff so differently and creatively and I wish I’d appreciated it from the start. I always love seeing what he and people like Chris Colbourn will do. They see stuff differently.
@jasonanno3881 Жыл бұрын
Honestly watching him skate annoys me too. Chris Colbourn is in a little league than Andy. His skating annoys me more for the reaction it gets rather than the skating itself. I’m not mad at him for doing his own thing but he definitely leans into the whole “omg so creative” thing hard. His tricks are generally honestly not that difficult and there are plenty of dudes who deserve the same level of praise

@@jasonanno3881 Tha boardslide around the 90° angle and the (attempted) natas spin were super impressive. I'd say that is very difficult. And he mixes it up. It's very entertaining to watch.

Why do you find his skating annoying? Is it because he doesn't do the tricks the "pros" do? I find their skating annoying because it's the same thing every time with zero creativity
