When I was 14 my younger brother and I was walking through the woods one day and we came across this natural kinda overpass area. We decided to go under it and about 5 mins in a giant boulder the size of a basket ball falls and crushed my skull. The doctors had to put my skull back together, lemme tell u. Brain damage sneaks up on you. About a few years later my entire personality was changed from an outgoing guy to a very sad and mad person that just wants to be left alone. Be careful guys. I worked with people who had traumatic brain injuries- gunshots, car accidents, illness, etc. My heart goes out to you. It's hard for the family to accept the "new" person after an injury and while I understand their sense of loss, it is very unfair to the tbi patient. They don’t know how different they are acting and how it's affecting others (for many severe cases). Involintary or uncontrolled defecation or urination were extremely common. Everyone with these problems deserve humanity and respect, and patience from those around to understand that they can't always control these extreme reactions. Hang in there- you got this and I hope you are surrounded with loving support

The whole brain damage theory was brought up by his dad being that its the only explanation he has on why Andrew acts like this. I seriously believe he doesnt have brain damage but he definitely has issues. When he has his temper tantrums with the police, he speaks plain as day, clearly and normal, no speech impediments whatsoever. Its been discovered he does have a diaper fetish, along with a scat fetish. Many videos pointing out that hes a PDFfile as well. His family records him doing all this wild stuff is because he has history of claiming that hes being abused and mistreated by his family when its the other way around. His dad was actually charged and investigated because of Andrews false claims, but of course the charges were dropped when they found out Andrew tends to lie alot to get his way. Andrew Ditch has munchausen syndrom, he doctor shops everywhere, even going as far as towns in Pennsylvania because all the hospitals local to him know hes faking all his mental ailments.

The stuff about emotional well-being is caseworker boiler plate he's regurgitating. Nothing he or his family film suggests anything besides a regard with poor impulse control, a persistent delusional belief, a paraphilic disorder, and some sort of personality disorder. All of which can be explained by a TBI. Rather, all that was present before the TBI, but that brain injury probably broke what little impulse control he had. If his family weren't poor they'd have been able to see a neurologist who could definitively diagnose him I guess. All that said he's just an average IQ 80 regard though. This is every group home and Andy is mild compared to true invalids. I've seen regards in group homes who eviscerated their own eyeballs with a spoon and ate them lol. Andy is gross and needs to be supervised but he's just a regarded narcissist with skitzo delusions. He's a dime a dozen in the mental health field as far as criminally minded regards go though. He needs to be put in a group home and denied phone privileges.

To be fair until you’ve dealt with something like that or know someone close to you who has. Most people don’t really know what a nightmare the healthcare system is. My wife is a physical therapist, and I had no clue tons of people who need treatment can’t get it for various reasons. Before we met I assumed if you were diagnosed with something and needed something, your insurance would have to do it. It’s a racket man, you pay all this money and they can be like nah we aren’t covering that.

Hey Tom I have schizoaffective disorder, it's just a mix of schizophrenia and bipolar! It's not pre-schizophrenia, it's basically schizophrenia and, like you read, a mood disorder. My theory is that he's always been mildly autistic, enough to have some sensory issues, but moderate enough that he can live a normal life. I think the accident proved to him that people will give him a ton of attention when he's sick, and he heard that an accident can cause brain damage, so he started playing up the autism when he physically got better to keep the attention. SZD doesn't precede ScZ but it can have the same symptoms. It can be seen as schizophrenia+1 AIUI from my clinical psych courses. I completely believe Andy had a subnormal IQ before his TBI, but may have been gifted in some areas, and that the TBI precipitated everything else. The diapermaxxing was probably some dark desire that he had before that got unchained. Loss of impulse control, and perceived apparent sudden sexual paraphilia that was kept in check, happens with dementia and TBI patients occasionally. His family's behavior suggests some of the personality disorder stuff runs in his genes too. Well adjusted family members would kick him out onto the streets at some point rather than live in a diaper dragon hoard.
