Why would it be a "fuck you" rather than his way of expressing his grief toward the loss of his father? In my opinion, Chibineko's autism & intellectual disability likely severely impact his social & communication skills. Thus, hindering his ability to communicate bereavement the way other people typically do. Using his special interest in anime as a way to channel that makes sense to me, despite it seeming inappropriate. I hope I do not come across as challenging or rude, btw!! Moved out immediately because I need my independence, just as much as they did. Watching stuff like death note or spyxfamily or one piece is very normal, they are high quality shows. But there are a lot of WEIRD animes out there too. Anime is just an animation style and has so many genres in it that it can't even really be considered a category any more than animation itself can be considered a category.

I was the weird kid that wore dog collars but it wasn't a sexual thing to me like everyone assumed.
