Coming from someone that has mental health issues, the way he's talked about ending himself has always urked me. When you really feel that way, you don't see waking up everyday as a good thing, you genuinely yearn for the day that you don't. of course somedays are better than others, but it's not something you just say, it's an almost everyday struggle to want to keep breathing. I'm not saying he isn't that way, but it's rare to even voice these feelings in private, let alone posting it online where people you know will find it. As someone who struggles with it, the last thing I want is for anyone I care for to ever know or find out, and I have to be in the worst spot possible just to voice my pain, to use it for sympathy and hoping people will think of you in a better light, you have to be genuine scum with no sympathy for anyone other than yourself.

My abuser was simultaneously abusing other girls and had been doing so for years - as opposed to my abuse which only lasted weeks. When my abuse came out, theirs did as well for which I will always be grateful for. As a 9 year old child, I really clung to the fact that my suffering helped save others. My abuse no longer defines me, but it has absolutely shaped a huge part of who I am. It matured me young and made me far more empathetic. For years, it was hard to look at the abuse as inherently negative when it ultimately contributed to the person I am today and character traits I deeply value. That said, part of my healing journey was to realize that the abuse itself was 100% a negative; how I reacted to it, learned, healed, and grew as a person were positives that *I* brought to the table. It was a traumatic horrible experience that damaged me in foundational ways. The fact I’ve become a better person from it and am proud of myself is a testament to *my* resilience and hard work, and the support of those who love me. It is NOT something that should ever be credited to the abuse or abuser. But I am empathetic if Boogie expresses it as “ultimately a good thing”; it’s definitely a perspective I held onto for *years* because it was easier to view it as a bad thing that led to good things than it was to let myself feel how much harm had been done to me full stop. (Also, my abuser was a beloved and trusted family member, but they weren’t my immediate family and certainly not my mom. It’s no surprise to me that Boogie would rationalize even harder, given it was a parent who hurt him. To have a parent do something like that - god. I can’t imagine how much harder it must be to deal with as a child and it doesn’t become magically easier as an adult.) EDIT: Adding two random thoughts. 1. I do think people who commit sexual crimes can be “redeemed,” but that depends on a buttload of factors related to both the crime itself, what occurs after, and the perpetrator themselves. We should scrutinize such people VERY closely and i would require years and years of demonstrated change to believe them. But i think it’s important, to leave room for sincere change if it occurs and is demonstrably proven by hard work and time. That doesn’t mean they magically get treated like nothing ever happened tho. 2. I get why a child victim may interchange “rape” and “molest.” My abuser molested me, but also gave me oral sex. There was no intercourse so it’s not rape in the technical sense, but it also wasn’t just touching/fingering. Depending on what someone experienced, I would understand why someone might call it rape since non-penetrative sex occurred.

I have a relative like that.. it's called Borderline Personality Disorder.. the most important is their surrounding.. he has keem validating his every move for drama alert, a 20 yrs old that act like a 15 yrs old and a guy was severe autism.. The truth is what he want it to be! with BPD you have tendencies.. my relatives mood was going from schyzo tendency to suicidal.. it's similar to bipolar but it's in their head (not a lithium problem) their mood swing is cause by trigger instead of being an imbalance of lithium. Most of those people won't even admit what they have and make fake stuff instead admitting their "mental illness".. cuz it's fucking imaginary/ just crazy BS stuff with no rational.
