You know what is crazy? Andy Farrell is from a town in the north of England called Wigan, it’s on the outskirts of this city called Warrington. During the troubles in Ireland, the IRA blew up a gas works in Warrington that killed two little boys. The IRA also shot my partners uncle the same day - as he was a police officer in GMP at that time. He somehow survived. The song zombie Ireland sing at the end of games is a song by an Irish band called the Cranberries. They are singing about the Warrington Gas Bombings. The fact Andy, a man from this area in England, and Doris a man from the republic, can sit down and share in this moment only 25 years on is very special.

Could not have asked for any more from our Boks other than to take this loss very seriously. We didn’t perform worse than Ireland, they performed better than us and that makes this loss feel comforting. Full credit to Ireland and their never say die attitude and I hope the next time we meet it is at the intensity of these past 2 matches. This Irish side are probably the most consistently good in the world and i am all here for it! They don’t ever lose confidence and I hope Irish fans use it to help understand that their side is never out of the picture!

Irish rugby man here, I am delighted with our win, thrilled I should say. I'm also thrilled by the comments by the Bok's fans after losing such a tight game. There has been too much talk in the press, stirring stuff up... going to South Africa and win at rugby is certainly not easy, going to South Africa and making friends seems to be much more of a pleasure. Thanks South Africa and Bok's fans for welcoming us and let's keep being the best test matches to play/watch. Rivalry is properly good when it's like this and with the AB's too. Farrell is truly inspirational, Caelen Doris made more metres than the rest of the Ireland back row combined, he was just everywhere, when he was yellow carded SA got 9 points, with a couple of debateable penalty decisions Ireland did not appear to nominate a captain, so nobody challenged the decisions.

Show them some respect. We played a game plan and lost, if only we had someone chase down the drop or put pressure on the ruck. Nz kicked more than Eng they won. Ire more than us and they won. It happens. Honestly we aren't prepared yet for the new gameplan we had to many turnovers. Also we lost Willie the assist king, who unlucks defence like noyone else. Look at last weeks game how good he was at that. Ireland havent lost consecutively since 2021. We can be proud of our performance and we know we'll be better for it especially all the new players have learned a lot.

Doris showed he's up there with the best in world . Over 2 tests MOTM in both games and even with a yellow he was streets above opposite number of WC Champions. Kwagga Smith was shown up in both tests in truth. Wear his heart on sleeve but at top level hes not good enough..Mgomezulu and Williams should have cemented there places in the 15.
