Andy Garcia and Ray Liotta were two actors who I am amazed didn’t go on to be bigger superstars. They had everything going on in their breakthrough films.

Yup. Ray Liotta was never a superstar, but he was RECOGNIZABLE as an excellent characteristic actor, never afraid of playing ambigeous characters, with ambivalent attitude, ambivalent feelings, often plain evil. And yet in some magical way he forced audience to accept that, sometimes to even cheer for him! He was truly SOMETHING WILD!

Even though The Godfather III (Coda) is the weakest out of the trilogy Garcia's character was a wonderful addition to the family. Even though he's had a fantastic career I consider him a somewhat underrated talent.

@@cdreidp Really? I am quite surprised to hear this. If you don't mind, can you expand, and explain why? I am huge fan of the trilogy, and think that 3 is way underrated. I am also a huge fan of Sophia Coppola, and think that the feedback she got, was more related to everyone's thought that she got the role because of her father.
@cdreidp

@Armyan1988 yeah! I felt that 2 was more just a backstory for Vito, whereas Coda was a continuation of later years. I thought 2 was slow, wasn't as interesting, but I can see why people like it- people like Vito. Also though, I think Vinny was a great addition to the series, you could definitely see Sonny in him. Just overall a more entertaining movie

Aging like wine! Andy Garcia was my summer magazine love April 1991 - he came out in one of those American Magazines for his role as Vincent Corleone , I screamed "SH******T!!!" when I saw his full page black and white photo - his piercing eyes boring into my 15 year old boy crazy soul. I was grounded for a week for that cussin. Hahahah Sigh, here I am 32 years later watching this show. Love how Andy has embraced aging like that - he's still beautiful!

I had the very rare honor of escorting Andy around the Chines Theater as his EP detail while he did a Q&A. He got out of his car, i introduced myself and off we went into the back ally and down a long set of very creepy stairs into a super dark hall. Its probably the ugliest walk of old walls, covered in fire retardant, its just creepy. If you knew me personally or took a first glance you would see me as the skinny nerd who you could beat up (In short im not intimidating) In my suit i look like a secret service agent i guess and between that and the really creepy stairs Andy was a little wireded out, ask me straight up "Are you going to snuff me?" I laughed, he did to. I turned and smiled to him saying "I know this is scary but i promise your green room is just over hear and its much nicer than this hallway" Now ever time I see the Godfather, or Oceans, i get a big smile on my face and tell myself "I intimidated him....me the nerd" ^.^
